That thumbnail is going to make me cry

This book is is so amazing. At first you would think they wouldn’t kill off a main character but after seeing the Queen being killed you really start to belive that maybe they would kill him off

newairnation

Zaheer says that it's a pleasure to finally meet a true airbending master like Tenzin, but didn't the two of them already meet when he helped protect baby Korra from the Red Lotus?

jassihere

I didn’t even realize the season was already almost done 😯 where did the time go???

agoodwintv

Yup, and then they add dialogue to let you know that he's not bluffing. That's one of the reasons this episode was so nerve wracking

NitrousOxide19

i think this season is so good is because of how cohesive everything is, no episode feels like its wasting time and it flows so well.

hays collins

“You knew aang better than anyone” ummmm are we just gonna forget Katara haha

hays collins

Tenzin Zaheer fight is amazing. It really shows you how Zaheer might be a gifted fighter but Tenzin is the master Airbender

hays collins

You never get a good imagine of how powerful Tenzin is untill this episode

Dierane

The way they show Tenzins mastery over Zaheer is awesome. Zaheer is shown constantly grabbing onto ledges to boost himself up while Tenzin can just fly up to wherever he needs to be without stopping. Plus, its always so impactful to see his honor and dedication to protecting his family and culture come through. Didnt even give up as the red lotus ganged up on him. Also the whole traditional air nomad bending vs modern martial arts style airbending is so cool to see. These action sequences (especially the next two episodes) are a big part of why I love TLOK! Im a sucker for well done fight scenes. As always, Im excited to see your next reactions.

Next episode is my favorite.... man this season is just fantastic.

this episode is possibly my favorite of this season, mainly because of Tenzin. He may have learned the ways of pacifism from Aang, but he has his mother's determination and will to protect. He always cuts and runs, but when someone is threatening those he loves and cares for, he does not stand down. Lines like "Yes I do!" (have a choice), and "As long as I'm breathing it's not over" would normally be slightly "uncharacteristic" of him in normal situations, but this showing of his protective / strong side are really awe inspiring. Also the battle between Zaheer and Tenzin is one of my favorites. Zaheer may be extremely powerful, but he's no match for a true master of air. I also love the juxtaposition between the raw, chaotic power of Zaheer's style and the Practiced, graceful power Tenzin commands. Tenzin is my favorite character in LoK, and probably my second or third favorite in the avatar universe. Side note: they captured Zuko as an old man really well. His surprised face when he's talking with Korra gives me "flashbacks" to ATLA.

agoodwintv

I love this side of Tenzin. I feel like I've been waiting for that the whole series. He has spent a lot of time being unsure of himself in certain ways, but when it counts he steps up in a big way and it's awesome.

Jay Crigler

Tenzin has so much heart and dedication to the airbenders its hard to watch him have a 4 on 1 beat down when they couldnt handle him 1 on 1

If you liked this episode I can't wait to see your reaction to the finale... Meanwhile, you said it yourself that there's no need for it, so I don't think it's a spoiler to say you won't see Zuko and Iroh reunite in LOK. However, I think it's strongly implied from the scene in this episode that at some point they did. The spirit portals are open! Zuko doesn't even need to learn how to meditate; he just needs to take a trip to one of the poles and walk straight in. There have been a lot of great fan comics on this subject, but I think these are my personal favorite. I found it satisfying seeing Tenzin handle Zaheer so well. Tenzin's technique and grace when fighting really felt like a testament to airbending and its philosophy. While Zaheer is a prodigy, his bending is more harsh and offensive, matching his martial arts background; but airbending is the ultimate defensive technique. He just couldn't keep up with Tenzin's movement, not even landing one hit on him.

I think it was Korras dad who fought Zaheer that time, so I guess he and Tenzin didn’t really “meet”.

Another Dr. Pepper drinker. That's what's up.

Since its already been mentioned a whole bunch, ill just quickly say I love how Tenzin showed Zaheer how to REALLY airbend lol. Zaheer is certainly a skilled fighter, but he's more of a lucky amateur in terms of actual airbending skill. It was so cool to see Zaheer actually struggle in a fight, probably for the first time in this whole season. Tenzin would have definitely won that fight if the other three didn't basically jump him. Next episode is one of my favorites in this whole season. Cant wait to see your reaction!

Neth110

I don't know how you watch these one at a time. It was excruciating waiting a week when it was airing and on my rewatches I can't resist going like 4-5 at a time at least! Are you sure you're not just changing your shirt and recording the next one(s) in advance? 😉

Dierane

The way you just stared at the credits trying to process everything killed me. I sense more of thatr coming in the finale lol. Its episodes like these that really make me wish the seasons had the 20-ish episodes like ATLA.

4Tom4lepus4

Since Zaheer is the leader of the Red Lotus, people always seem to think he's the best bender of the group, but Tenzin was schooling him. Tenzin would have certainly won! Gah, this episode as a whole was just so good

agoodwintv

It's painful to watch. Adding to it is that he's such a gentle guy typically.

I cannot wait for your finale episode. It is the most intense, emotional, everything in all of the Avatar universe (I think haha)

Blackeyedlily

Loved the tribute to Bosco! And I agree, redemption stories are my favorite stories.

agoodwintv

Those are awesome. And yeah, I agree about the implication that Zuko and Iroh meet in the spirit world. Maybe Iroh has a few things left to teach him :)

agoodwintv

There's so much buildup for this moment it's just so satisfying for Tenzin to kick ass. It just confirms everything we believe about him and have wanted to see.

agoodwintv

LOL I have done that on occasion just depending on my schedule, but generally it is as it appears: One a day. It is hard to resist... But having a schedule helps cause I can't spend too much time watching when I have to edit the videos etc.

Nico Salerno

Cool thing to me is that when zaheer says he has no desire to hurt the aurbenders not only do i believe him to be 100% truthful while at the same timw i believe that he still would hurt them to accomplish his goals. And thats why he is scary not because he is violent but because he actually isnt violent. That he consciously chooses to inflict suffering and death for what he knows he must do.

Drake Chuckle

Tenzin is everything man. I've wanted to see him turn up from episode 1 and this gave me that. When I first watched this I was enlightened.

Official Jrem

That Bosco tribute was so touching I was definitely tearbending a little

DrowsyCody

God I love kya even though she’s a healer she put up a great fight against Ming hua

Trisha

I haven't said it before but I was always so glad they chose to show the villains being from different nations in LOK. It makes me callback to the quote from The Avatar and The Firelord. If anything, their story proves anyone's capable of great good and great evil.

Jose

I agree! She is indeed a good waterbender but unfortunately Ming Hua was just too agile. I mean did u see how she was like making those body rotations in the air to throw those icicles? Kya just couldn’t catch up with her fast attacks and her versatile techniques.

Jose

My heart melts every time when Bolin’s grandma says “I can’t abandon the place where I raised my family . . . It’s my home.” That is one of the few scenes of this episode that gets me the most. And then later to see Tenzin being beat up to almost dying made me almost cry for him. And then to top it off you just made me even more sentimental when I saw Bosco’s part. 😭

Alexander Ortega

This is literally one of my favorite episodes from this season. The last few episodes will be just as great too. Can’t believe you flew by these so fast. Wish season 3 was longer 😭

Honestly, this entire season just emotional weakens me, but in exchange for an amazing story

Anonymous

I love how when Korra mentions Iroh, just for a few seconds, we get to see the wise-old Lord Zuko become a 15 year old kid again. Wish we could've seen more of Zuko, but that scene was so satisfying

Also it's super cool not only that Tenzin almost beats Zaheer, but also how. Tenzin in S1 says "Airbending is all about spiral movements." Except Zaheer barely uses any during that fight. Tenzin, on the other hand, uses some sort of spiral movement in virtually every move he makes. And the difference is obvious. Tenzin is able to match Zaheer, and even beat him, with relative ease. Like when they're both jumping from roof to roof in the beginning. We can hear Zaheer audibly grunt with effort, while Tenzin just helicoptors his way up to let him like its nothing. Another great detail, if I remember correctly, Zaheer, like a true martial artist, actually learns from that fight and starts using more spiral movements in his fights as well. Also Kya's fight. Whenever Kya tries to stand her ground, instead of using her opponents energy against them, she loses. When she does, she's actually able to match Ming Hua.

I can't wait for tomorrow!!
