I love how the mover lines up with Bolin's fight

Kingsley

I've always felt that Varrick sort of resembled Vincent Price.

It's a great scene. I like the way they represent Bolin starting to act like the hero he's been pretending to be.

I get the Howard Hughes vibes from Varrick.

*Varrick finally getting exposed *epic brother duel *Bolin getting the girl *Korra unknowingly being a third wheel Me: Why do his outlets look so weird?

This is another one of my favorite episodes of book 2, just for the fight between Nuktuk in the mover and Bolin in real life. I also just love that it brought an end to book 2's arc of "Mako was right but literally nobody is listening to him." while also continuing the arc of "Asami did nothing wrong and deserves better than this."

I love his crush on Varrick

Something I always feel like when I'm watching this season is how it seems like Unalaq doesn't have very much depth. Like, he just seems to be the evil guy with the evil plan. That's always made me a little bored with this season, as compared to season 1 (and the other two). It's great having team avatar sorta back together though.

The Nuktuk scene was so much fun. Also, it didn't occur to me fully at the time, but looking back I realize that for some reason I love watching the Nuktuk movie itself.

agoodwintv

I feel this way sometimes too. I keep holding out hope that more depth is given to him at the end, but I'm keeping my expectations low lol

WolfWarrior623

I'm with you there. I think it's cool that within the animation they recreated what old black & white movies looked like, special effects & all. I would 100% watch a Nuktuk series in that animation style if they did it. I love Bolin, and I love Nuktuk, I'd be here for it.

The scene with the spirits in the dark alley and then Desna and Eska standing at the top always seemed so cool to me LOL. Seems like it is in the wrong show... almost.

Tanraq’s waterbending style feels so unique to me. It’s so aggressive that it seems akin to fire bending. I don’t think I’ve seen such an aggressive style from other water benders. Most of the time, waterbending seems to be more about controlling the flow of the fight with the versatility of water. Tanraq and Unalaq, seems to represent strength and wisdom respectfully. They also seem to bear the weaknesses of those pursuits as well. Tanraq seems to lack deeper understanding. While he was tricked into going into the forest that led to his banishment, more discernment might have left him with a better course of action. Although I can’t say for sure, I suspect Unalaq fell victim to he pursuit of deeper knowledge to the point where experiencing the spiritual world became vastly more important than the world around him.

I thoroughly enjoy this episode. Very Bolin and Varrick centric. My two favorite characters.

Varrick is the best character in Korra by far. Probably my favorite comedic relief character in any show tbh.
