The next two episodes in my opinion are the two worst episodes in all of ATLA and Korra. They belittle the lore of ATLA and make it far less compelling, and they completely destroy the plots setup in the first half of the season that are actually good. Season 2 was super compelling especially up to now and then after these next two episodes they basically abandon everything for this stupid new Objective Good vs Objective Evil plot which is complete dogshit.

Respectfully, I disagree. The upcoming two-part special is actually my favorite part of the entire season. I can understand frustration if the expansion of the lore did not meet your expectations, as it makes some of the background less mysterious as it explicitly explains certain things, removing a bit of the mystic nuance in A:tLA. If you really valued the ancient folklore sort of approach that the first series used, it is probably annoying to you to see some of that magic explained away. However, I really enjoyed the elaborations provided, as I was never really satisfied with some of the explanations in A:tLA. I don't see it as a retcon, I see it as an addition, something that expands upon more loose concepts to make them concrete. I find a lot of value in Beginnings, and while I wasn't perfectly happy with certain directions taken in the last few episodes of the season, I am happy with the outcomes that lead to developments in Season 3. I love the next two episodes, and while I respect your opinion and don't want to downplay your frustrations, I think it's a little dismissive to boil them down to "dog shit."

I really like them personally. I diid like the mystery behind thhe spirit world and avater in the last air bender but I like what they created ☺

The next two episodes are some of the greatest episodes in the entire AVATAR world, in my opinion. I don't believe they trample on established lore, I think they expand it and give more depth. I won't include spoilers in this comment until he actually watches the episodes, but they are some of my favorite.
