This season I definitely enjoyed and understood better on a 2nd watch. I don’t know why but maybe because the mood and tone was soooo different from season 1 it put me off initially. But now I definitely appreciate the divergence

I'm glad! I'm sure that there are good reasons for why a lot of people are saying about this being a weak season, but so far I'm enjoying it :D

Cody Taylor

Yeah i remember enjoying the second viewing much more that two parter in the middle of the season is still one of my favorite things from season two. I think once you understand where the story goes in season 3-4 it makes season two feel more justified if that makes sense?

Aight! Imma watch Princess Mononoke now.

Book 2 is definitely more enjoyable on repeat viewings once you understand everything they tried to do with it. But there's no doubt that the story of this book isn't as executed as cleanly as the others. Also, there are character choices and behaviors, which I won't spoil, that many fans don't like either.

Sometimes, I genuinely feel like I'd enjoy taking notes on your "Avatar Wisdom" sessions between clips. I know that it's likely uncomfortable receiving reverence from random internet strangers, but your introspection has genuinely been very valuable to me in these past few months of uncertainty.

Absolutely I definitely am going back to write down a few of his gems of wisdom from the Atla series. The cup full of water aka knowledge analogy really spoke to me.

I personally love this book for just the spirit stuff alone we only ever saw no less than a football field worth of the spirit world in atla with koh and the woods I’m thankful we get to see more of that WORLD and we aren’t restricted to a spot in the woods

I never disliked this season, by the end of it I understand WHY some people don't like it but it's a pretty subjective experience and I don't think anyone thinks this season tarnishes the series as a whole. Some people are just overdramatic IMO. Besides, this season has a couple of the most acclaimed episodes of the series! Even the haters agree on that.

Teri Armstrong

Korra at the end of the episode like "oh fuck what have I done?" This and more will be weight on her avatar pride.

I'm glad! I'm hoping to back over some of those things in depth soon when I rewatch the show. I'm thinking of watching the show again and watching my reactions as well, but we'll see.

agoodwintv

Right, I could be wrong but it feels like they shifted gears away from the spirit world in ATLA after season 1. So it's nice to explore it a little bit. It will just depend on how well they do it :)

Its funny to me that you fell into the same bending bias that the air acolyte did when you found out kya and bumi arent air benders. You like "oh? are they water bender?". Non benders have value too! #Equalist #AmonWasRight

Feeling this! I wrote down "you can't give from a place of weakness" and pasted it on my wall. It's a really inspiring concept and I end up thinking on it pretty often.
