I hadn’t thought of a comparison between Jiro’s “This is what they’ve been experiencing?” moment and Pitou’s aura, but it fits surprisingly well. It’s funny how many comparisons can be drawn between both shows at the moment. Also, a question I’ve been meaning to ask for a while. Sometimes some of your uploads have the episode with a weird audio quality. It kinda sounds like the video is being played from the other end of a pipe. It’s only on some videos though, the last episode everything sounds normal, but this one has the weird audio. Basically I was wondering why that’s sometimes the case.

The student-mentor relationships in this show are amazing! The Tokoyami-Hawks relationship is so beautiful to me, especially because Hawks never meant for it to be a big thing. He needed an in for information, and Shoto, his preferred choice, said no, so he picked the runner-up birdkid. That's all it was to him, coz he had bigger fish to fry with the LoV. And then Tokoyami surprised him, and he actually gave him some advice, coz you might as well help the kid out, right? And he gets a little attached, but hey, LoV investigation, so he doesn't really have time for him. And then Tokoyami saves his ass, because Tokoyami cares and notices, and doesn't stop believing in him even when he learns about the more ugly things Hawks has done. So Hawks cares too, enough so that his first instinct is to keep him far away from danger, because Hawks is expendable, but Tokoyami isn't expendable to him. Except Tokoyami doesn't agree and shows up to save him again. And somewhere along the way, this not-a big-deal-thing has turned into Hawks caring deeply about this kid and genuinely admiring Tokoyami and seeing him as a hero equal to himself, if not greater. Great stuff!
