So yeah the plan goes off without a hitch… until you remember that Toga still has yet to ask Izuku her question, the same one that she asked Ochaco… It was a small action, but she threw a rather significant wrench into things. And this is just the very START of the fighting. Oh and MHA just had its ending announced today, it will be ending early August…

The manga will be ending in 5 chapters, so I think that's what Matthew was talking about.

Oh trust, the show has plenty more to go yet. Probably a 12 or 13 episode season after this.

CEEmma

They thought of a great plan and it ALMOST went without a hitch.

Got to catch up with MHA. I would've probably dropped it a while ago if not for your reactions. Your perspective always has the benefit of making me appreciate parts of the plot I didn't before and drawing my attention to interesting parts of the narrative.

Nothing says monumental battle like Monoma hysterically laughing in the background 😂

keyton bush

Just a note: Monoma’s tears of joy were from “Manual - The Normal Hero” using his water manipulation quirk as infinite eye drops. Same thing he did for Aizawa in Jaku.

One thing that people always complained about with MHA was characters being “wasted potential”. Random background character #109 didn’t show up again? Wasted. But for this final war, Horikoshi has been grabbing big handfuls of those loose character plot threads and paying them off in bulk. Incredible dedication and commitment to those characters from him. Although MHA fans then started complaining there were too many characters, so the real message is that the fandom sucks.

Chris Sharpe

Seems that there have definitely been people like you who had been losing interest in MHA in recent years. But let me tell you that the stuff that has been releasing this year has been the greatest section in MHA history. Parts of that are starting with these episodes.

I'm not sure if the Game 7 reference was intentional timing or not, but obviously Edmonton-Florida Game 7 was tonight. I think you... I dunno... "threaded that needle seamlessly?" Insert fabric pun of your choice. It's pretty tragic for Canada that we're now 32 years without a Stanley Cup win, but seeing all of the "minor characters" have all of their effort come to fruition as they hoist the trophy was genuinely moving, especially Paul Maurice, the coach of the Florida Panthers, who up until now had the rather ignominious record of having the most losses of any coach. Those losses and the hardship is the thing he specifically cited as what makes this win mean so much to him now.

The moment when Shigaraki truly fell to the darkness... Saying Aizawa isn’t cool anymore

I didn't know anything other than the fact that there was a game 7, that's amazing to hear for them.

mha bouta go crazy. Excited for more Good stuff from Goodwin

Never thought I'd be here, and now I'm cheering for Monoma to be his unhinged self and go crazy! Turns out, when he's directing it towards Villains, I'm on board!

Seeing the two characters who have been told their whole lives that they could never be heroes be the linchpins of the plan to set the stage for the war is just...*chef's kiss*
