When Bisky gets eliminated First Killua dodges it, then Bisky fails to dodge it with her dress out of frame, then Hisoka dodges it to *then be catched by Razor's Minion Number 5* (therefore Bisky being eliminated) to lastly be thrown at Hisoka again. Love the content as always!!

If only Gon had graduated from the dodgeball equivalent of Tee-ball to baseball, I feel like the damage to Killua could have been avoided...

I think is nor good or bad but a bit of both, is nice that gon belives his friend can do it against all odds, but is also not health for killua, so i think gon choice is the right one on the end because it was at killua want as well. But that goes to show how dangerous gon mindset can be.

In general your initial feelings are pretty accurate for reality, Gon is a really selfish kid and Killua's background makes it that much easier for Gon to get away with it. 'You are my bestest friend[awww] and we are going to achieve something amazing[awwww], so please remain my pawn in all these selfish moments[wait..]'.

I'm still conflicted about it 😂 I think it will depend on how this plays out over time.

Who needs hands anyway

I think Killua’s mindset can also be considered dangerous. He’s willing to sacrifice his hands just so Gon can win a stupid (awesome) dodgeball game that they literally can walk away from, train a bit, and come back to try again at any time lol

I think deep down Gon is a good kid who is just a bit too childish to understand how much Killua does for him. Killua on the other hand still feels indebted to Gon for "rescuing" him from his toxic family and wants nothing more than to be useful to him. Yes, Gon is a little selfish but he's also 12 and clearly lacks emotional maturity. Their relationship is full of miscommunications for sure, but Gon still cares a lot for Killua, not just as a pawn.

Absolutely, these are kids, the intentions are not what I'd question. It's clear Togashi was going for what you explained, but he also sprinkles in the reality that kids can treat each other poorly because of that. Deep down Gon good kid, no doubt, but the times he has shown this tendency I absolutely dislike him and hope he can learn.

Gon is a selfish kid, but he also acknowledges killuahs position and how important he is to him. He trusts him blindly, he sees him as someone equal. He refused to get any help other than killuah‘s. Understanding your own character and those, who are closest to you, is essential in friendships. Not everyone ticks the same, not everyone acts or behaves the same. We live off our strength‘s and understanding your strength + looking for someone that complements your strength is the true way forward

I am so glad you were concerned and saw the burned hands moment as a red flag, there are some watchers who don't pick up on it. I know the show kind of paints it in a "sweet" way, but it is something portrayed as a problem through the fact that Gon looks more like Ging after getting a bandage over his head. It is supposed to parallel and represent Gon's selfishness at the moment. Also, I feel like the show paints it the way they did because you're seeing it more from Gon's perspective and the show tries to evoke those feelings. It feels like it's kind of gaslighting you to think it's okay with the happy music and everything.

I think there are a few things that make me feel differently about the dynamic. One is that it's reciprocal, Gon wouldn't hesitate to do the same for Killua. Another is that finding his dad has always been Gon's entire drive and purpose, and right now he is the closest he's ever been and this challenge is a major obstacle in his dream. Gon is also pissed that Razor just went for a 50/50 to kill Killua. And I think most importantly is how Killua is acting about it, his reaction, him Asking Gon to trust that he can do this before Gon revealed he already knew. That type of trust in friendship is insane, they are both on the same level and pushing each other to go beyond. Also Killua's still looking for his purpose while helping Gon find his dad, so helping Gon has been his new purpose ever since the whal Island episode. Anyways just some thoughts, Gon is for sure insanely selfish and terrifyingly willful which aren't necessarily great character traits but when focused properly can be kinda inspiring. I could never be on the same level as Gon in that way but for people who aren't as willful or selfish and let other people walk all over them it can be inspiring in a way to see someone with those traits at maximum output. Helps build self confidence, and reminds me it's okay to be a little selfish at times. Just trying to take what I can from everything and remembering from the lion turtle that it doesn't mean I'll be corrupted by it. That's how I view it at least :)

Are you reacting to invincible? Episode 5 dropped 2 days ago

Can't Hisoka... dangle the ball with his bungee gum... so that no one has to hold it?

Vlad Mavra

That would mean the ball is covered with bungee gum which would slow the ball in similar fashion to aura
