I've been enjoying working on these quick June pieces. I kind of want to expand more on this setting and maybe explore more of June as a character, but not quite sure how that will work just yet.

We love June! Happy to see you motivated and happy to see more of our girl

I think it can only benefit your work if you try and explore characters in this way. Thinking about what she does, how she goes about her work, her likes and dislikes, her interactions with others and so on will really help develop a character and help make facial expressions and body language more genuine. Even if we don’t see a development visually it can really help add a real depth to what you draw. What this looks like is up to you and can be daunting so do take your time and just keep practicing! But really it’s just about asking loads of different questions and coming up with answers. It also seems like many of us on here are massive fans of June, so I think we’ll be more than happy to go along with you if you wanted to develop her character and experiment a bit. We know you’re doing your best and if something isn’t to your liking it will be fine. June will still be fantastic and we’ll all still love her (and you)! Taking risks and figuring out things is a big part of art, so keep at it and I know you’ll be rewarded handsomely! -Apologies for very long post.
