You'll still get some story this season, but season 1 very much is a mostly fun, usually low stakes set of episodes. Season 2 is much more plot heavy, with the occasional one off adventure. Still, I think it's all very much worth watching, and I'm super happy you've been enjoying the show. Gravity Falls is one of my favourite shows, and it's always nice seeing new people get into it, even after all this time uwu

Season 2 is much more story heavy than Season 1, in Season 1's 20 Episodes only 7 maybe 8 of them are focused on the overarching story but even in the "Filler" Episodes there are details that will be important later.
