One of the reasons I think they should have done Noxus or another region first. Is that a lot of new people to the lore don't realise that magic isn't uncommon in the League world. Piltover and Demacia are the only two countries on the planet that hate actual mages. Piltover was originally founded as a group of people who wanted to escape mages' danger, and replaced the need for them with science. Outside of these places, mages and magic are found in abundance, similar to DnD.

I'm of the opinion that Jayce was actually right! Not that I wanted Vander, Isha, and (possibly) Viktor to die... but I think Jayce was correct that there was something DEEPLY wrong with this whole situation. Like in what world is a cult commune "utopia" that purifies people into a hivemind, all connected to a single lifeforce, ever the "right" thing? It screams creepy and messed up, with something more sinister at play. I don't blame Viktor either, but I think Jayce saw something in his visions that opened his eyes to it. Or he's absolutely tripping and I'm totally wrong lol. Either way, it hurts that we lost Vander :(

Stems from an unhealthy low self-esteem, as they want to feel loved by as many people as possible, regardless of whether or not they actually like said people. Which is hilarious

First, i dont think ambessa loved rictus im guessing for me its more like he was her most loyal soldier and yeah i would be mad too if my right-hand man died, and second jayce was seeing what heimerdinger saw when viktor and jayce showed him the hexcore back in s1 and he said he wanted it to be destroyed and im guessing jayce also saw it as a threat.

I know this fandom looks for any reason to hate Jayce, but if you actually pay attention to the show, he did the right thing. Also, to just assume that Jayce is evil and Victor is good seems like the writers taking advantage of the irrational hate Jayce has received since the 2nd act of season 1. Victor wanting to help people doesn't mean that he's actually helping.

I think Jinx is a lot more popular in League than Vi is, and I think Warwick is about equal to Jinx if not higher. But yeah, they're some of the big fan favourites, at least within the Top 25. And a LOT of people wanted the lore on the whole dynamic between the Piltover and Zaun champs. I just still think they should have chosen a different region because Piltover is so isolated and ignorant compared to the rest of the League world.

Honestly, I'm really curious to see Jayce again. I don't think he wanted to kill Viktor, it seems more like the person he is now is like, almost an amalgamation of several version of him all vying for control - his uncoordinated movement, his sharp switches between personality - and that the true Jayce is slipping in through the cracks - him refusing to hurt the boy and freaking out and trying to stop himself from killing Viktor

I wouldn't say they are necessarily favorites, there are so many champions...but I think the potential for a story with the tension and dynamic between Vi, Jinx and Caitlyn in the game probably gave a lot of ideas. I also believe that the producers wanted to bring Zaun to life more than anything.

I remember after this episode me and my friend were just sitting on separate ends of her couch in stunned silence idt we talked for a solid minute ngl. I am so sad, but so intrigued after this episode. Wherever the show ends is hopefully going to wrap up all of our questions, but I'm so scared at how it'll all turn out.

In the game? Jinx has been a somewhat popular character during the years, Vi not so much. As for the lore, they were not favorites before or even particularly interesting, since the world it's placed has a lot more exciting and fantastical places/stories, like Lei mentioned. That said, they likely chose Piltover/Zaun with the story of Jinx and Vi to have a more down to earth setup, when it comes to the characters. And they created this absolute beauty.

I think maybe Jayce saw sth horrible in the arcane thing and he must kill viktor , in the last part of epi5 Salo was empty in Jayce's eyes, so I think arcane is controlling people and turning them into puppets. If things goes wrong, Ryze probably gonna head to piltover and kill everybody thats been affected by a wild runes anyways. Oh and btw, I think viktor will now turn in to his final form, and lead its "glorious revolution" , maybe he's the final villain?

I don’t know if anyone mentioned it last episode, but the moment Jayce comes back and speaks to Salo, you can clearly see fog forming whenever Jayce breathes and they focus on it quite a bit. With Salo, however, no fog. No breathing. The people Victor “fixed” essentially become husks with their original personality completely erased. And when the husks die, it's like puppets falling when the puppeteer is no longer active.

I feel like its not just that Viktor was the puppeteer in this (which he very much was, I don't know if he was aware of it tho), but also he was a puppet to the Arcane (?), but I don't think he realized it, like at all.

Jinx is very popular as a character. Before Arcane not the most popular but near the top. Tho they’ve been working on arcane for so long, that maybe part of the push for Jinx in the years before arcane was influenced by Arcane being worked on. The rest of the cast is on the popular side, but not specially so. I do think the relative lack of magic is why they chose piltover and zaun, I think low fantasy/steampunk is an easier introduction to the world than like Ionia or Noxus.

I saw someone mention it might be a loop. They show the gear Viktor is holding spinning and falling several and every time it’s different. I personally doubt we’re going to see Ekko change the outcome of this. If undone it’ll make episode 6 feel terrible in hindsight. It’s not too bad now cause we have to wait a week between episodes. But imagine binging it for the first time in a few weeks and you go from this incredibly emotional scene to it being undone right away.

The void is in like all league lore so it would be *shocking* if it wasn't in arcane as well and would have a big impact. That would make a lot of sense, when he sees the different versions of the people, they look a lot like void borne creatures as well.

Karma is from Ionia tho. If anything, Mel is related to Solari, or Shurima in some type of way. If you watch the music video called 'Blood Sweat and Tears', you see Ambessa live through different trials, what made her the way she is. In that video, you see Pantheon (who people theorize is Mel's father). I'm personally not sure he is her father cause Mel is so much smaller than Ambessa, so i don't believe her father would be even bigger than her mother. Plus, Ambessa seems to like smaller men as shown in the first season when she tasted 'local cuisine'.

I'll look I to that video though. I just wondered since Karma's lore says something about her incarnating into the world or something like that (my memory is crap atm idk why)

Before Elijah pointed it out, I already suspected that Rictus was the one Ambessa fell in love with. This idea came to me after she mentioned the fourth principle of combat being sacrifice and said that Caitlyn shouldn’t be distracted by someone she loves. I think Ambessa sacrificed her personal love for her ambition and goals, which is why she made Rictus her right hand, shifting their relationship from lovers to comrades to stay focused. Rictus’s magic also seems to counter Black Rose’s power. He broke free from Amara’s spell to save Ambessa, which makes me wonder if his magic is somehow linked to Black Rose. Of course I might be wrong. Can’t wait to see the reveal!

There is another league character that uses a noxian Runic weapon, Riven. She’s not a mage herself, the person that enchanted her blade is (and imo it’s probably the “witch” hunting Ambessa). It does seem like Rictus might be able to do the enchantments and runes himself, so he could be a mage that wields a runic weapon. The one thing for me is that Rictus seems too young to be Mel’s and the witch’s dad.

That was my first thought, too. But now that Elijah mentioned it, it makes absolute sense and would explain the look Rictus gave Ambessa when she talked about "we are kin". The only things I see that doesn't fit that theory, was episode 2x4 or 2x5, when Ambessa said: "They have my daughter" 🤔 Wouldn't it be more likely that she would have said "our" daughter? And Rictus looks too young to be Mels father. He would have been in his 50ies by now. Not imossible, but unlikely...🙂🤔

Viktor got weaker not only because of Vanders treatment, also because he got no new hextech to re-load. The one sent out to get more, was killed by Jayce. And only people with access to the hexgate can get it for him, that's why the former councillor got sent. And that taking of the hextech batteries was probably what caused Jayces return. My guess is, Jayce is the wild rune, or somehow sent by the wild rune, to save the Arcane from the abuse through hextech...🤔🙂 So Jayce fullfilled his promise to Viktor and destroyed the hexcore. If time works differently in the anomaly, Jayce might have seen what its evolution would lead to. Maybe it was even another version of Viktor that sent him back there to stop him? That could explain the "I won't fail" he is permanently muttering to amp himself up to do something he really doesn't want to, but have to. 🤔 This commune was very sus for me, too culty. And they weren't really healed, they where turned into hollow shelves that were bound to and remotely controlled by Viktor. Or better by the hexcore (looking like Sky) through him. It could have taken the form of Sky to control what is left of Viktor inside him? Lets him do work for seemingly good, while trying to evolve further and "overcome" humanity as a whole...🤔 Oh, oh, oh...! The mask in the intro, this could mean there is not much left of old Viktor and the hextech hides behind the mask of Viktors face...😱😅 The doctor saw that and he admires evolution to overcome death the most, thats why he is willing to help Viktor to survive...🤔 I'm so excited to see, if any of this turns out to be correct...😱😄🙈 I was so happy that Cait and Vi were back and that Cait will be off Jinx' back, now that she saved her life and she saw Vis whole family in a different light...😊😍 Oh yes, the cupcake moment, so great. That word and the person who said it cut right through all the walls she build to protect herself (Walls, that Maddie wasn't able to get through, btw. 😉😊). Right into her heart, that was already filled with doubts if she's doing the right thing here...😍 That gives me another thought. Could the people that think Maddie is sus be right? Ambessa said to Vi somthing like "You left a void in Caitlyns heart I was able to fill". Perhaps she meant she placed Maddie in Caits bed, to distract her from Vi and focus her on Jinx. That mustn't necessarily mean Maddie is bad, she could easily be manipulated into that situation just like Caitlyn, Ambessa showed that she can put other peoples emotions to her use. Only Maddie turned out to work against her, persuading Caitlyn to let go of her vengeance and seek negotiations with the undercity...🤔 Or she is indeed a spy of the black rose and works against Ambessa to prevent her from using hextech...🤔 Until we learn more, that girl remains a mystery...😅 Vander dying was a co-production of Viktor, planting hextech (the marks on the forehead), Jayce killing Viktor (and all that was created with his power) and the doc who injected his new serum into Vander at the last minute...🤔 I think neither hextech-Viktor nor the doc were really interested in healing Vander, it felt more like a battle for control over Vander. Even if Viktor would have succeeded, he wouldn't have let Vander go. 🤔 And of course I won't talk about Isha, because I still can't, I simply can't...😭💔🙈
