Oh yeah this episode lmao

Ryan

The really funny thing after this episode was that a lot of fans said that just this once, they gladly would have missed out on a major lore dump in favor of seeing more of the girls kicking unicorn ass.

FullmetalNinja25

Advanced Warning: You will HATE the next Episode if you watch it, it has everything you hate about Episodes that have nothing to do with the overarching mystery. I highly suggest you skip it, you will not miss anything.

Santino

highly recommend you skip the next episode. it’s not bad but it was an originally scrapped episode that disney had the team air anyways. regardless if you do watch it or not tho the episode after that one is fantastic !

FlynnWolf

Elijah completely missed Grenda choking on that butterfly.

FlynnWolf

And of course, halfway through this episode Mabel stops caring about protecting the shack and focuses on making herself look better. Typical.

Nathan LaLonde

Skip the next episode, it's terrible, has nothing to do with the story, and in pretty sure it isn't even canon

Gone

Yeah, the rep Mabel has isn't exactly in line with the behavior of the character (I'd say it's in line with the IDEA of the character though) so the "Mabel's totally a pure hearted person" thing was kinda wonky.

Marisa Maribel

Please do not skip the next episode! I know people are insisting that you do, but not everyone hates it, and I think that it’s unfair of them to try to make that judgment call for everyone. The next episode is a necessary last light-hearted breather episode before things get serious and climactic and stay that way. I know you like the plot episodes the most, but the fun one-shot episodes of this show are also valuable for character development. You don’t know if you will hate the next episode, no matter what anyone says. And it’s just one not-plot essential episode before things kick into high gear, so it wouldn’t be waiting too long to get back to the mystery to just watch the episode. I wish people wouldn’t be so insistent that they know whether you’ll hate an episode or not, and that it MUST be skipped. I’m perfectly understanding of people not liking the episode, because everyone has different opinions. That’s not my problem. I just really don’t agree with trying to speak for every fan by saying an episode should be skipped. I really don’t want to be going against other patrons like this, but I just disagree with them wholeheartedly on this, I’m not judging them personally. I know that sometimes it makes sense to suggest doing something like this. Like the case with Harley Quinn, it makes sense to suggest that you get back to it another time, because you were not enjoying it at all anymore. But I’m still hoping the 5th season will be back to good quality, and you’ll pick it back up sometime. But with Gravity Falls, the next episode is just one non-plot important episode before the plot is the main focus. It doesn’t make sense to skip it. And that’s not just because I like it. But even if it was, the people who don’t dislike the episode should have just as much of a say in this as the people who dislike it and want it skipped. But ultimately, it’s you who has the most say of all. So I’m not trying to tell you what to do, I’m only appealing to you to not skip an episode.

Production_Run

One of the items on Mabel's good deed list, crossed off suggesting she somehow managed to actually accomplish it, is "Abolish Electoral College." Which actually isn't completely insane, seeing as Quentin Trembley DID make her a congressman.

EdwormN7

I would also like to say try not to let others' comments sway your mind on the next episode. I personally love it lmao, and I hope you will too!

xattygt

It up to you if you skip the next episode or not but it considered the worst episode on the show by many and has absolutely nothing to do with the overall story. The biggest filler episode in the series imo. Honestly I think you should still watch but you don't necessarily need to waste time making a video maybe give your thought of next episode at the start of the episode after. With out spoiling the finale 4 episodes are basically a huge 4part finale which you will love

Ciphers for this episode: "IT STARTED WITH BAD DREAMS WHICH BECAME NIGHTMARES. I WAS FOOLISH, I WANTED ANSWERS, I PAINTED THE SYMBOLS, I SAID THE WORDS: WHEN GRAVITY FALLS AND THE EARTH BECOME SKY FEAR THE BEAST WITH JUST ONE EYE." "A SIMPLE MAN WITH EAGER EARS MAY TRUST THE WHISPERS THAT HE HEARS" "IN CIPHER'S GAME HE NEEDS A PAWN BE SURE TO KNOW WHICH SIDE YOU'RE ON"

Joey Quixote

One of Stan's many listed crimes in the previous episode was Pug Smuggling. Continuity! Posting this only cuz you were... "having a moment" over the line. It's a good line and a Wendy line. "Look, it's time we stop trying to be so 'perfect' and be who we really are. We're crazed, angry, sweaty animals! We're not unicorns! We're WOMEN! AND WE TAKE WHAT WE WANT!!!" Related Amphibia spoiler / observation below. Not for you but anyone else who might be reading and doesn't want Amphibia spoiled. . . . . . . . So, in this episode, when Bill first meets Ford, he tells him: "Woah, don't have a heart attack. You're not 92 yet." I was rewatching this after I'd finished Amphibia and it reminded me of "The Hardest Thing". When the deity sends Anne back, it says it can wait another 78 years for her. Now, Anne is 13 in the series. BUT the end of the episode is 10 years later, which is apparently not only the anniversary of "Frogvasion" but ALSO Anne's birthday, meaning she was 14 when she defeated The Core. Presuming the heart attack Bill predicted would kill him would mean that both Stanford Pines and Anne Boonchuy would die at the age of 92.

Fantastic Reaction Elijah Now Buckle Up Cause It’s About To Get INSANE!!! & side note I love the A Goofy Movie Shirt Your Mom made you & I Love A Goofy Movie too 🥰🥰

TinIsHere

Oh god. I hate the next episode so much. It makes me pretty mad lol.

Eliteguard99

IIRC Alex made this episode to make fun of everyone who hated Mabel.

Eliteguard99

If Mabel abolished the Electoral College, I don't care what anyone says, she's a freaking saint.

Theo Dane

Once you finish the series you should react to the Gravity Falls special “ Between the Pines” as well as the shorts! You should also read the real life Journal 3, the graphic novel Lost Legends and the upcoming Book of Bill!

Theo Dane

I’m curious to see what you’ll think of the next episode. It may be the most polarizing episode in the series. Many people hate it and consider it the worst episode of the series, while others think it’s ok considering it’s the last lighthearted non-lore focused episode before things get serious for the finale. Personally, I don’t think the episode is that bad on its own. If it was apart of early season 1 and not the last half of season 2, I don’t think people would hate it as much.

Kev Rink

I must say... It would be very harsh to say Mabel is a bad person. Because a bad person has bad intentions. Mabel's intentions are always pure, but she doesn't understand that what she does can negatively impact others. As for when she teases Dipper, I think she just doesn't realize when enough is enough. It is natural for siblings to tease each other, but Mabel takes it to another level. Not necessarily too far by saying things that he's sensitive about. But she takes it to a level Dipper isn't comfortable with. To the point where, to him, she's just being mean

Terrell

I'm really intrigued to see how you'll feel about the next because I know you're like really excited for the lore and the episode really does not deliver. I don't hate it tho

Christopher Dulin

Very very minor spoiler for the Journal 3 Book, but in the next episode they retconned it a bit to have Ford suggest they go on this filler trip. But honestly it should have been shown prior to the Northwest Manor one. And you will probably hate the episode based on your other reactions. But push through, the rest of the season is great.

Theo Dane

I know there’s some people in these comments telling you not to watch the next episode. However, I personally recommend you watch it and form your own opinion. There are some people out there who actually do like the next episode or just think it’s ok, so there’s a chance you won’t hate it.
