I really tried to go for that old renaissance painting look where the paintings have built up years of aging resin and a bit of it has chipped away and someone left a canvas on top of it from being in the storage.
So much dirt went into this its insane lmao, there's more detail in aged exposed paintings than there are in fresh new ones. I still think it could be a little bit more yellowish to fake the resin look?
Philip de laszlo was a huge inspiration in making this portrait, if you love portraits I recommend looking him up. He was the big name back at the start of the 20th century.
