Woman: Swift Creek Photos

Chloe was resting by the pool after breakfast.  Her husband had just left for the university.  He’d been have a rough time with his translations for a couple of reasons.  Midterms, of course, took a lot more time to mark than was reasonable.  The copper plates were conspiring against him as well.  Some were in good condition.  Others had corroded to the point where the act of unrolling them would cause them to crack.  They were inscribed on both sides so there was no easy way to shore up these fragile pieces.

As Chloe rested on the deck lounge, the now familiar coldness swept over her.  ‘I wonder what I’ll ned up this time’, she thought with a shudder thinking about spending a whole day as a spider.  She felt a strange tingling at the base of her spine.  After a few minutes, her swimsuit began to feel full about her crotch and hips.  Being isolated, she quickly stripped off the one-piece and felt the tickle of something hanging from just above her buttocks.  She had grown a tail of hair longer than her own!

If this were the only change, she’d be able to live with it.  A few minutes later, though, she developed small bumps just above her hips.  These soon grow out into skin-covered sticks that are into another pair of legs.  Her own legs with its remarkable tail had been pushed back and she grew a second spine.  By the time the strange process finished, she was left standing on four legs.

It took several minutes to learn to coordinate the four legs and walk.  Reaching up to stretch, she made another discovery.  Her ears, too, had changed into long point elf ears - a cross between her ears and furless horse ears. She ran tentative fingers along those fantastic ears.  She could feel her fingers stroking these fantastic ears and feel her fingers on those same ears.

The rest of the day, as she did the chores, she hoped that none of the neighbours would come to visit.  It would be impossible to explain her current condition.  What would be worse is that none of her clothing fit.  Skirts and dress worked well enough for her from portion but could only be draped across the back.  Covering her second set of legs proved impossible.

In the end, that’s how she waited for her husband’s return.  He was excited.  They’d stabilised another sheet and managed a translation.  That was the point at which Chloe walked out from behind the kitchen’s central island.  He stopped talking mid-sentence, a shocked look on his face.

Fortunately, this change, too, faded with the sun’s last glow. Chloe was thankful that she was able to count on that mercy at least.
