here's the rack I used to make the glitchy percussion sounds in the previous post!

 when first using the rack in ableton, drag the .als file directly into your project file, and it should import everything from the random on trigger device to the macros intact. 

once you have it inside your project, save it as a preset somewhere safe, and also move and store the parent folder (the 'electronica glitch rack Project' folder)  somewhere recognizable too. 

Also I've recently learned that Slicing presets are a thing in Ableton, so I've made this rack a preset-assignable rack. 

This video explains how you set the rack up as a slicing preset + covers how to load and customize the rack with your samples. 

Upon making the samples from the previous post, I added devices like 'Beat Repeat' and 'Phaser/Flanger' to add texture, but I'd left those out from the rack as I felt I should leave some room for sound exploration. 


also just on a side note, when you're not sure what samples to load into the rack, have a look at the official Ableton packs on their website as the samples inside their packs are v good for these musical genres.
