hi!

i went into a studio a few days ago to record some drums (mostly snares) and i've chopped them/ compiled them into a simple sample pack!

there are two categories: 'raw' and 'processed', but most of the samples are 'raw' in this pack.

in the 'raw' section, there are 73 cymbals, 29 kicks and 214 snares (yes i think i went a bit overboard)

and for the 'processed' there are 4 cymbals, 1 kick and 18 snares

the idea was for me to get a bunch of acoustic drum samples raw, and then process them however i'd like afterwards in the DAW, - kind of like getting ready a palette of colors to work with -  so i could learn a bunch of new processing techniques on my own

regarding the recording of the snares (if you're curious),

i brought my sE8 small diaphragm mics and placed one mic up close to the snare, and one hanging about 60~80cm above the snare. One records the dry body sound of the snare, and the other hanging one captures the snare + room ambience. Then I mixed/blended the two separate signals into one through my daw.

this steve albini video was very helpful:

also the samples are not normalized so some may be a bit louder or quieter than others! (sorry)

anyways i hope you enjoy this little sample pack!
