2 (ish) free cool plugins i found today (Patreon)

i thought i'd share some cool suuuuuuuper underrated (i assume?) plugins i found today on the vast sea of information a.k.a. the internet.

1. Klon Centaur digital plugin (free)  by chowdhury DSP

If you're a guitar player or a general music gear nerd like me, you most definitely know or have at least come across the name 'klon centaur'.

the original klon centaur is a simple overdrive pedal that was produced back in the 1990s and is now famous for its warm juicy tones and its extravagant market price.

This plugin by chowdhury DSP is their digital take on the centaur, and although I don't own the original pedal (cuz it costs like $6k) , judging from videos i've seen on youtube, i think this CHOW version comes pretty close to the original IMHO. And even if you don't exactly think that way, i'm sure you'll agree with me that this plugin sounds FANTASTIC as an overdrive alone.

2. everything from Airwindows (mostly free)

The gentleman Chris Johnson is a VST creator / engineer that has made plugins for Cubase and Logic (according to his patreon), and Airwindows is a solo project of his where he provides hundreds of mostly free VSTs to the public. 

Although the user interfaces aren't particularly appealing, it's simplicity and (most importantly) sound quality are top notch and honestly too good for a free product.

My personal favorites (so far) is the channel9 console modeling plugin and the ToTape tape emulation plugins, but i'll definitely need more time to dig deep and try out these plugins. 

I think i should also mention that i found both of these plugins through github ( https://github.com/webprofusion/OpenAudio ), where most electronic music producers would probably not think of visiting when digging for new VSTs. 

 I'm still a noob github vst hunter (literally started digging today) but i'm already astonished by the amount of unique plugins there are that never get much attention elsewhere, so I hope you start today too and have as much fun as i do!
