It seems that everything medical related tends to move in slow motion. After numerous calls to various facilities and doctors to get the EMG test authorized by insurance, I finally got it scheduled. The place my doctor recommended didn't have any openings until November (!!), but I called around and found another place that can take me next Friday. Hooray. Meanwhile, rest alone hasn't really provided much relief. Some days I start to feel little better, but then the pain and numbness is right back again, so some form of medical intervention may be necessary. The doctor told me once we see the results from the EMG, I can try corticosteroid shots and see if they help. So that's where I am at the moment. Just trying to chill as much as possible and not injure myself further. :/

Onto the art update from the archives. This time I present a Sailor Venus Dakimakura set from 2015. Back then, I was experimenting with different coloring styles to find the best approach for my art. For Venus, I aimed to emulate the smooth shading seen in Nise Midi’s work. However, due to the unfamiliar coloring style and the large file size required for a dakimakura, creating these images took quite a while. As a result, although I had planned to depict all the senshi, Sailor Venus remains the only one I completed. It never even made it onto a pillow case. Maybe someday I'll revisit this project. See the attached zip file for the front and back shots, plus concept art for the complete series.

As always, thanks for your support. It means a lot, especially during these trying times.

Best,
Mina

Glad you were able to find something sooner than november! It really sucks how slowly medical bureaucracy works. Hope the EMG shows where they can help!

Hey, I just wanted to say I appreciate your art and am sorry for the difficult time you're going through. Medical stuff can be terrifying, especially when it directly impacts your line of work like this. I hope all goes smoothly, and wanted to let you know I intend on keeping my pledge even if you take a while away for health stuff. I hope all goes well!
