Today's house comes from the inner ring suburbs of Chicago and is a classic example of Chicago vernacular architecture: the raised ranch. At 3541 square feet featuring 3 beds and 2.5 baths, this cutie comes in at a relatively affordable $385,000.

Raised ranches look like bungalows from the front but they stretch out deep into the lot, allowing for a more open floor plan that's definitely in the ranch family. They feature very cute mid-century elements like large picture windows and sleek and modern brickwork, doors, porches, and windows. The raised ranch was a popular local option in Chicago because of its blending of a bungalow scale with a long and narrow house that gives all the benefits of a suburban ranch while being suited to small city blocks.

This house has been pretty much entirely remodeled, but in a relatively neutral way that hasn't detracted from its original cuteness! Plus, the exterior has completely retained all of its swanky midcentury modern charm.

I think that may have had an original quirky color bathroom. Because I think the tiles are there but reglazed white

The house is so fun but those pink curtains need to burn in an eternal flame. Talk about an interior design nightmare
