50 States of McMansion Hell: Campbell County, Wyoming

Howdy, folks! It's time for us to go home, (big, ugly) home on the range. That's right: It's time for Wyoming. Now, when I think Wyoming, I think of rolling hills, ranches, incredible landscapes, and also that book about cowgirls that Dick Cheney's wife wrote.

Oh, I have so many observations. I made the mistake of zooming in on some of the photos and now I’m even more disgusted than I was originally. Here we go. So what’s with all the oil (or blood) stains on the driveway? If you have dryer or bathroom vents, why not paint them to match the house color? Especially right in front? Why does the downspout dump right onto the driveway? Notice how filthy all the air return vents are? It seems like the kitchen sink was supposed to be next to the refrigerator (logical), but instead, they moved it six miles away. If you zoom in on the lower right side of the kitchen picture, notice the vinyl edging on the side of the cabinet doors is ripped and scuffed, plus it looks like the cabinets in the island aren’t even. The trim and wall around the dining room doors are scuffed and the curtains have been removed. At least remove the curtain rod holders if you take the curtains down. If you zoom in on the lower right corner of the master bathroom photo, it appears they made their own kickboard out of 3/8” plywood; didn’t paint it, didn’t even cover the nails; and the baseboard just kind of dies as it reaches the vanity. You think they would have cleaned the carpet in the man cave, or at least covered the dirty sides of the beds bolted together. I can’t tell what that green blob is on the end wall near the beam. More dirty air return vents. I hope they never told their friends that they had a studio in their house, because I’m pretty sure this doesn’t count as a home studio. In the second bathroom, the baseboard is poorly matched and there’s scuffs everywhere. And a short toilet? Why a short toilet? In the basement, it looks like water damage on the surface of the pool table. Hmmm, where would water come from? Poorly designed roof and downspouts maybe? Why would you have the steps off the deck go right into the gravel, then a curb, then the grass? Notice even the back yard lawn looks scuffed? I would have thought that maybe they could have put some effort into fixing all the scuffs and patches instead of staging? If you can call this staging.

I am a little late to this party but holy cow. That was the most cheap-looking, ugly, ridiculously expensive house I have ever seen!
