While it was difficult to find a decent house in a land of what seemed like endless drivel, this house is in fact, very cute, if not entirely perfect.

Infusing Craftsman-style features like pylon columns, brackets, and shingle detailing, the house takes the form of a classic 1-story farmhouse. The attached garage does a better than good job of complementing the primary mass (though it looks more projected at this angle). The continuation of the horizontal rhythm  helped by the continuation of the cedar shingles on the garage and the lines of the primary mass roofline (look how the gutter blends with the separation of the shingle/siding on the garage), combined with the garage's cute protruded window helps integrate the garage into the design language of the house.  Also the green window muntins/mullions is a nice custom touch.

This house has 5 bedrooms, 6.5 baths (but you can't tell by looking at it!), and was built in 2003.

Thanks for the writing. And great idea witchy the good houses. I have been wondering what you would call a good house and became a patron to see. But can you please post a link to the house as well? Thanks!!

It also makes sense to position extra bathrooms near the kitchen or rec room or whatever.
