January 2021 Newsletter (Patreon)

Happy New Year everyone! I’m back and I have exciting plans for 2021. Overall, I want to focus on creating more content and more quality content for you all here on Patreon. I'd love to hear from you as well regarding what new rewards you'd like to see from me this year, but either way, let's take a look as what's in store!

First, I’m finally launching the Mickeyland campaign! If you don’t remember; A Day in Mickeyland is an AU minicomic I’ve drafted that ponders how the boys would interact if they had met as kids. If you want to see Kai and Alex as cute kids in an amusement park setting, well here you go! Once I reach my first Patreon goal (which I’ve changed to $50), I’ll start production on this comic and release it as a Patreon early access exclusive. You all will also get to see the process of it from start to finish (from script to thumbnail to sketch to ink). I have a few stretch goals as well, although I don't expect to reach them, it would be nice!

I plan to announce the campaign today or tomorrow, and the deadline will be March 1st (the 1-year anniversary of KAI!) I'm only a few pledges away from the $50 goal, so if you want to see this comic, make sure to share my posts about it on Twitter and Instagram! I'm beyond excited for this project, and I have a killer script that I know you guys will love. Also, getting this off the ground will definitely open the door for more Patreon-exclusive spin-off and AU comics in the future (I can't be the only one who wants a Pat and Gianni love story, or more Kaz and Keilani content in general).

DESSERTS & FLORALS

For my $5 and $10 patrons, I’ve started a series of illustrations for the next print and sticker set. The theme is DESSERTS & FLORALS (combining Kai’s two greatest loves ❤︎). I already have a ton of ideas, but feel free to tell me what flower and sweet treat combo you’d like me to illustrate! I’ve been sitting on this idea for a while now, but I thought it would be perfect for the Spring print. I also think it would be fun to incorporate my characters into some of these compositions. Is that something you'd be interested in, or would you prefer just the florals/desserts? Let me know!

As I mentioned before, early pages are going to be a little off-schedule for a few weeks while I get my buffer fixed. But, rest assured, consistent updates will return soon!
