Whoa! Got a lot of new Gamemaster Tiers - welcome! 

Here is my notes for the Giant Lobster encounter in Miss Demeanor!

I wanted to experiment with a few gaming concepts, including mechanics that his hidden behind certain DC Scan Checks - allowing players either to seek an answer for what they were looking for, or to unlock mechanics about the monsters they are fighting.

BTW - The DC for Scan Checks are typically 10 + CR of the creature.  For Giant Lobster, I gave it a CR of 6-7 (so DC was 16)

I also wanted to experiment with attacking certain parts of the creature to add long term benefits if the challenge with defeated - lowered AC, removed mechanics, etc.  These parts would always still damage the creature, but would typically have an additional challenge to overcome (AKA higher AC for the Armor weak point and the Lobster Tail).  

From the last encounter, I changed it so Slashing Damage would only sever the tail.

If I were to change anything else, I think Scalding Bubble should be a 3 round cool down instead of 4.

For the Giant Lobster Hatchlings, you can use the Giant Crab monster, but with 5 Hit Points.

Overall this was a VERY fun encounter - very Monster Hunter Like.  I'm looking forward to making more encounters like this!
