Title: Revolutionary (17)

Two weeks had flown by in a blink of an eye ever since Team Sakumo returned to Konoha. With their schedule settled, everyone made progress in their own way no matter how short said growth was. Of course, for Shinobi who had Shadow Clones, could bear the mental toll of its shared experience, and had enough chakra to spam it just enough every day... 'short' time was just something to be compensated for with more clones.

In fact, with his recent grind that made him more in tune with the elements, or to be precise, his chakra in tune with the elements, Kai stopped sleeping altogether. For him, sleep was only a luxury he partook in daily for the lack of a truly exciting grind, and anything that furthered his mastery of elemental nature transformation simply happened to fall under the right category— exciting.

Kai silently stared at the result of his hard work. Well, he wasn't ashamed to admit that he did use the Sage's Adamantine Seal to release quite a bit of chakra and further the grind by using Shadow Clones at a drastically high pace. In layman's terms, this is where F2P met P2W.

Within the once beautiful Shikkotsu, a small portion was now utterly decimated including the glowing corpses who couldn't adapt to the nature energy present in this location for the long run.

[Frost Rasengun (5/5): Creates a concentrated spiral of chakra over the tip of the finger while shifting the temperature of the chakra to colder without limits. Increases the mastery of water stat by 2% at every level. Reduces Chakra Consumption by 10% at every level. Chakra Consumption: 7250~??]

[Shurikengun (5/5): Creates a concentrated spiral of chakra over the tip of the finger while sharpening the chakra using wind nature transformation without limits. Increases the mastery of wind stat by 2% at every level. Reduces Chakra Consumption by 10% at every level. Chakra Consumption: 7250~??]

These two Jutsu, aside from the number of sage arts variants, happened to be Kai's 'great' accomplishment. Frost Rasengun would even 'kill' the very nervous system of the one attacked but... Shurikengun was a different beast in its own right. And at the moment, Water and Wind Style Rasengan were the only elemental variations he mastered. In fact, when it came to water, there was still the second nature of 'reflection' that intrigued Kai but even with his clones, he could only do so much.

Meanwhile... Fire, Earth, and Lightning were harder and in that order itself. He would start with fire nature transformation of the Rasengan but he had also encountered another problem...

These techniques were to be used in the Revolving Heaven technique... but Kai couldn't use it less he dies himself. Using the Frost Revolving Heaven would freeze and break his own existence and chakra pathways... and the Shurikengun would tear off the very cells of his body since he would be surrounded. He could save himself from this fate with his impeccable chakra control but... the truth remained that the moment he is attacked, there would be a moment of fluctuation. Even Jonins would be hard-pressed to make use of this weakness but Kai would rather not leave it to luck and think of a way to offset the situation...

Truly, this was the first time he had a Jutsu that was too powerful for his own good. And this practically made Kai salivate over the remaining nature transformation...

"Shouldn't forget Yin and Yang release too..."

All this grind benefited him greatly. His income for SP had seen better days but if things go well... he'd have more sources of SP relatively soon.

{A/N: I'm not going to cover the word count by spamming sage arts variants for ninjutsu and genjutsu. Instead, I'll form a different information page for Sage Art Variants for both, ninjutsu and genjutsu. The main change is that senjutsu ones are just stronger in a different realm. Remember Jiraiya putting Pain in Genjutsu? That level.}

One of the more interesting Sage Arts that he managed to grind out through clones was the variation of Groundmole Jutsu.

[Sage Art— Earth Travel (10/10): Lets the user meld in and travel into earth quickly and then appear out from a designated region. Reduce Chakra Consumption by 5% at every level. Senjutsu Chakra Consumption: 560~???]

No, he had heard of a technique from Kiri that could allow users to mimic water itself as their Kekkei Genkai but this wasn't it. It was as if the ground accepted him and allowed him to phase through with his chakra seeping in and making way itself. A bit of yin and yang nature was mixed with this sage art, too, but this was convenient as hell! Yet... the path of grind already dictated a much more useful jutsu— Hiraishin.

This also made him a little sad.

He had mastered Uzumaki Legacy left with Kushina and the seals he was devising with Orochimaru had been paused, too, because of her other research granted by Hokage. Still, this didn't mean Kai was too backed up. Just this much grind was nowhere near enough. He had been in this world for six years and even now... he had barely managed to cover his bases from a single village...

And there were four other recognized 'major' villages...

Not to mention the independent Land since the Second War— Land of Whirlpools and Uzushiogakure...

Smiling, Kai couldn't help but mutter, "I dread the day where I have nothing new to learn for years..."

Shaking his head, Kai skimmed over his stats and realized that he was still in the 'growth' phase. Ever since he gained this kekkei genkai, his physique and perception grew naturally. Of course, given his current strength, this passive growth was less than notable but it existed and showed its worth under intense training. In comparison, his mental stat grew much slower. Yet, he was satisfied with the knowledge that most B-ranked and even some A-ranked Genjutsu couldn't faze him. It wasn't just due to his high stats... but also the fact that this was achieved by putting oneself into many genjutsu and he thus, gained a knack for it.

Choosing to end the session for the moment, Kai decided to take a break.

...

Like hell, he would!

Just because he was currently stopped by the elemental versions of the Rasengun did not mean he didn't have anything else. In fact, he chose to preside over a much more intimate training with his closest partner.

"Hmm... let's see... Animals in Shikkotsu Forest and great summons like the Sannin's can talk. So... maybe we should start from there?"

Kai looked at the skinny, white sweetheart wrapped around his index finger who let out a soft, serpentine hiss with her flickering tongue and closed her eyes.

Cinnamon could surely understand him, that he knew. But he wanted more. Again, it was not from the perspective of strength. Cinnamon simply happened to be the only one that could remain under his sleeves and interact positively. To a shinobi, such a treasure was hard to find. If stuff like Ninken was easy to use in conflicts then every clan would be like Aburame and Inuzuka but it isn't. And from his perspective, Cinnamon could be the unlikeliest failsafe should something even catch him off guard.

He had come to understand more about the Inuzuka culture over the years and even picked a thing or two from them but unlike the ever rowdy clan of humping sons of literal bitches, the Aburame clan was secretive even by Kai's standards. Everyone knew of their hiden that allowed insects to form hive within the clan members but... it wasn't easy to ascertain if it was the insects themselves that agreed to not kill the host or the other way around.

One of the mysteries Kai would like to eventually look into.

Aside from Cinnamon's situation, Kushina's wasn't any better. She trained a lot knowing she would have to be the one to extend the 'olive branch' to Kurama given the situation while also developing another seal alongside Kai based on the Four Symbol Seal that can ease the tensions between Kushina and Kyubi... after all, the poor ball of fur was crucified upon a giant boulder!

"Maybe Senjutsu Chakra could help you, too?" Kai wondered idly, "The three summons come from notable locations steeped with nature energy. But... how does that allow them to speak human is hard to understand. I could consult Orochi... or Katsuyu...

But I've been to Shikkotsu Forest... maybe I can try and enter Ryuchi Cave this time?"

Kai frowned slightly.

The request of 'learning' Sage Mode from Jiraiya was still upto nowhere. According to the lecherous sage, the one within Mount Myoboku who should give the green light for it is still slumbering... Honestly, Kai only wanted to see what other uses of natural energy he could find from this venture but at the moment it seems he could start with Ryuchi Cave.

He could go ahead and infiltrate the Monkey Clan of Shikkotsu forest for the temple they'd been guarding to not blow his identity as the invitation would require him to come clean to Hiruzen about his actual strength. But if he is found out, again, that would cause some friction which Kai would rather not encounter since he could try other options first.

As Kai spent time with Cinnamon, he tried to incorporate her into various other jutsus but again, she was far from being part of his core skills.

As for the said core skills, Kai began to eventually think of a more efficient combat method that could end opponents easily. In essence, it was a style not unique to him but possibly the most compatible with him and Hiraishin fit right into this alongside [Chakra Scalpel] and [Sage's Scalpel] Jutsu.

As for others, Kai had yet to give them a thought.

Heck, even the Sage Arts learned from Shikkotsu Rock Egg Sage Art wasn't all that useful to him. They made him stronger, yes. But they lacked the natural finesse with which Kai could finish his opponents.
