Welcome to a new report!

This week something very curious happened. As you know, the Young Again code is written entirely by me and in Rovering to Sussex I do only the graphic part, but the code is in charge of reflexbound who knows a lot more than me in that area.

And many times, seeing the RtS code, I learn and get ideas to apply later in YA. But this time, when working with a piece of code and trying to modify it to adapt it to YA, it always failed and gave me an error.

After a while and giving up, I asked reflexbound to help me, to know why what I wanted to do didn't work, and his answer was the following:

"You, my friend, found a RenPy bug."

It's pretty crazy because I'm just taking my first steps in programming, but I found a bug in the programming code, I'm proud of myself, haha.

We have already reported it on the official Renpy Discord to be corrected, and who knows, maybe this will help future programmers who find themselves in a similar situation.

After that little story, I can tell you that the work is going at a good pace and we are still aiming to have Chapter 5 ready for January.

The total number of images ready for the new chapter is 360, so there are less to do!

¡Bienvenidos a un nuevo reporte!

Esta semana me ha pasado algo muy curioso. Como saben, el código de Young Again está escrito íntegramente por mí y en Rovering to Sussex sólo hago la parte gráfica, pero el código está a cargo de reflexbound que sabe mucho más que yo en esa área.

Y es que muchas veces, viendo el código de RtS aprendo y saco ideas para aplicar luego en YA, y esta vez, al trabajar con un trozo de código e intentar modificarlo para adaptarlo a YA, siempre fallaba y me daba error.

Después de un buen rato y darme por vencido, le pedí a reflexbound que me ayudara, para saber por qué no funcionaba lo que quería hacer, y su respuesta fue la siguiente:

"Tú, amigo mío, has encontrado un bug en RenPy".

Es bastante loco porque apenas estoy dando mis primeros pasos en la programación pero encontré un error en el código de programación, me siento orgulloso de mí mismo, jaja.

Ya lo hemos reportado en el Discord oficial de Renpy para que sea corregido, y quién sabe, tal vez esto ayude a futuros programadores que se encuentren en una situación similar.

Después de esta pequeña anécdota, puedo contarles que el trabajo va a buen ritmo y seguimos con el objetivo de tener listo el capítulo 5 para enero.

El número total de imágenes listas del nuevo capítulo es 360, ¡así que ya quedan menos por hacer!
