So the Valentine's cartoon I just released is a bit of an interesting case. I actually started it back in September 2020, and abandoned it because I didn't really like it that much.

Plus, I had just finished the short where [bunny] draws ship art of Murphy and Mitzi a month before (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aWmpxLCH89c), and thought it probably wouldn't have been good to milk that joke a second time so soon. That one also happens to be one of the most popular shorts I've made so far, so I wanted to give some time before doing something similar again.

So, in a rare case, I was actually left with a mostly finished cartoon that I didn't want to release. So at that time, I thought "I'll save it for Valentine's Day if I don't come up with anything better by then". And here we are.

It also meant that parts needed to be re-done. Though the changes are subtle, Murphy and Mitzi have changed a bit in design since September. Their heads and eyes have gotten smaller, the shapes of certain facial features have changed, and they're a bit taller in general. And in case nobody has noticed lately, I've started getting rid of Murphy's red gloves as a general design change. I also made the background a bit more detailed and changed the color scheme to a more seasonal pink/purple tone.

So, all of that had to be re-animated, but luckily the animation wasn't even intense to begin with, so it was an easy series of adjustments. I also changed the expressions a bit. If you want to see the "original edition", you can do so here:

Happy V-Day, everyone!

I totally see what you mean. Mitzi looks a little more mischievous now, I suppose! Perhaps the gloves will return someday. I just felt like they were out of place.

I only just NOW noticed the blush marks on Mitzi too, all this time I thought it was just Murphy (which I guess it was originally lol). I always thought they were shippable lol. Great hilarious work as always!
