Thought it was about time to show off more unused stuff that I probably won't revisit anytime soon.

The first 2 images are from a cancelled short that was just getting to become way too long. It was about Murphy and Mitzi watching TV, and stumbling upon one of Murphy's parents' news broadcasts. Basically, Mitzi would've been confused about how Murphy's dad could control the weather. At first, I thought this short would be easy to pull off, but I stopped because it honestly would work much better as a comic. I still want to revisit it someday.

The third image is a from a more straightforward cancelled short. Murphy and Mitzi were at the video store and Mitzi knocked everything over. I stopped because it just wasn't that funny.

The fourth image is more recent. I attempted to fake a screenshot like an old 2000s VHS recording. I just didn't like the results that much. It's something I may end up tweaking and posting someday, though. It's nice and quick.

The fifth image is a super early Murphy I found hiding on a hidden layer in one of my old background tests. He looks so small and shy. Thankfully he's gotten a lot more confident, I suppose lol. Being a bit shy is still a part of his personality, but I think he's gotten a lot less so as time passed. Good for him.

Hope you all enjoy this look into my abandoned art. Basically what I want to say is that it's OK to scrap things if they aren't working, even if you've put a lot of time into them. It's still a good way to learn and see what you're capable of. I try to put out animations consistently, but they aren't always smooth to produce. Just do what you can, art isn't a race and you don't have to panic to finish something.

It's quite interesting to me seeing one of the early drawings for murphy and this new/improved style now when you developed it further. As for the "retro look" or VHS Murphy/Mitzi I think it looks good enough to post tho I guess with a bit more blur or something?

Thanks! Yeah, I think all the VHS thing needs is a bit more wear/quality loss lol.
