The moment Vlad decided to use some of the items he obtained from the first Raid Shop, which were vital for his Territory to finally gain some strength and resources, several messages popped up.

Ding!

[You’re about to use the [Random Territory Facility Creation Marble (S Grade)], please assign an area within the territory map where you want this building to be made.]

[The Territory Map is now being showcased. There are several areas you can select where you can build the facilities. Green-colored areas are where you’ll be able to construct without problems; red-colored areas are where there might be issues preventing the construction that need to be solved.]

FLASH!

Suddenly, a whole map of Elderbridge appeared in front of him, and any green-colored spot was good to build the facility.

“Okay, nice… Hmm.”

Vlad immediately noticed that right now there was a lot of land to place territories; even land outside the walls somehow counted as part of the territory of Elderbridge, so he could literally place these facilities anywhere outside and not waste space inside the walls.

However, he would prefer if it were inside, near the walls, so the facilities would be protected from attacks from monsters or bandits.

“All of the west area of the walls is destroyed, and nobody is living there; let’s pick this area.”

The west area was where the barbarians had invaded a couple days ago; the houses there had been burned and had yet to be fully reconstructed, so there was a lot of empty land in there.

Most people that survived that attack from that area of the city had evacuated to other houses or places already. So it was a perfect “free” area for him to place anything he wanted within the city.

“There…”

Ding!

The moment he chose the area by touching it with his index finger, a little chiming sound reverberated from the map, and then the marble floated in midair and flew away. He could still see it moving through the map, reaching the area he assigned. Chris flew out of the window, seeing the whole show with his eyes.

FLAAASH!

Once the marble reached its designated point, it immediately exploded in a flash of bright light, rapidly materializing a huge building out of nowhere. It required no materials and no energy; everything necessary for the facility’s creation was already contained within the miraculous, magical item.

FLUOSH!

Vlad saw the building rapidly materialize within the territory map as a beautiful building made of pixels, while Chris saw the real deal with his eyes—how every piece of wood, metal, and everything just materialized out of thin air and got together.

Ultimately, the building resembled a huge metallic tower with a large blue-colored crystal standing on top of it and several tubes connected; the backside of the building resembled an old factory.

Vlad’s eyes widened as he realized what building he got!

Today was definitely his lucky day.

Ding!

[Congratulations! You have used the [Random Territory Facility Creation Marble (S Grade)] x1 and created the Random Facility: [Arcana Factory: Lv1/10]!]

It was an Arcana Factory, a special and hard-to-make facility early, which he got immediately!

With this, he’ll be able to produce Arcana for the entire territory.

“Nice! We got a good one right away!” Paul celebrated, smiling and sighing in relief as he ran out of the window, using Soar to glance at the distance with Chris. “Oh wow, it looks so rad from afar!”

“…Isn’t this just Gacha?” Chris wondered, raising an eyebrow. “It literally is, isn’t it?!”

“Yeah, that’s why it’s fun.” Paul laughed, quickly taking out yet another marble. “So let’s use the next ones right away!”

He had purchased five marbles, and there were four left. He quickly used them all at once by assigning their areas within the map close to the Arcana Factory.

“Let’s go!”

FLASH! FLASH! FLASH! FLASH!

Four new buildings appeared near the Arcana Factory, surging like towering facilities of different shapes and sizes, but that each one had rather unique designs.

Ding!

[Congratulations! You have used the [Random Territory Facility Creation Marble (S Grade)] x1 and created the Random Facility: [Bloodshed Sanctuary: Lv1/10]!]

A huge church-like building with a crimson cross in front of it, surrounded by spikes with blood materialized, completely made out of black bricks.

[Congratulations! You have used the [Random Territory Facility Creation Marble (S Grade)] x1 and created the Random Facility: [Mine: Lv1/10]!]

A hill grew out of the ground, made of gray stone and dirt and covered on some grass and trees; there was a cave leading inside of it, with shining metals inside.

[Congratulations! You have used the [Random Territory Facility Creation Marble (S Grade)] x1 and created the Random Facility: [Quarry: Lv1/10]!]

A small open area with huge gray and black colored stones emerged out of nowhere; each stone looked breakable with a strong enough pickaxe.

[Congratulations! You have used the [Random Territory Facility Creation Marble (S Grade)] x1 and created the Random Facility: [Research Center: Lv1/10]!]

And lastly, a small school-like building materialized, with a blue rooftop and big windows.

“And it’s done…” Vlad nodded. “Nice, they’re all buildings that are perfect… In fact any building would have been good.”

“What the hell? How is a Mine and a Quarry a building though?” Chris wondered. “H-How does that even work?" Do they just turn back to normal once you mine resources out of them?”

“No, they’re inherently game-like, so like in these games, you can mine infinitely from them,” explained Paul. “But they probably have some cooldown after they run out of materials, and their production speed might not be too fast either? Maybe like a few little ores and stones a day.”

“That’s still pretty insane!” said Chris. "Okay, what’s next?”

“I’m planning on trying to use those Hero Summoning Tickets or the Guardian Eggs… but first I have to check something else, the buildings status themselves.”

Vlad quickly swiped his hand and touched the buildings within the pixelated map.

"Oh, so that’s how it works… And there’s bonuses too? Ooh, and it even gives EXP to just make one?!”

Paul quickly learned how a Ruler Level and Territory Level increased, and it was all through building more stuff.

“So that’s how it works, alright…”

Above all, he also learned he needed to feed the Mana Factory a lot of monster materials so it could produce the Arcana to begin with.

For now, that wasn’t an issue, though. If he could keep the factory at full capacity, feeding it materials and fuel, he would actually gain 200 Arcana per day and not 100.

“And the others…?”

"Oh, this one also requires sacrifices, but they go towards the Crimson Moon Goddess!” nodded Paul.

“Wait really? Now that’s interesting…” Chris nodded. “And those bonuses… do they really make people happy? They look scary!”

"Well, Obscuritas is by itself a dark, scary realm, so I bet people find it appealing somewhat,” explained Paul. “But damn, the level-up cost is high…”

“It literally produces Blood Energy which I’m fairly sure can be used for you to Rank Up, right? So it’s obviously going to be expensive! It’s like a passive EXP generator.” Chris said.

“Right… you’re right,” nodded Paul as he glanced at the Mine and the Quarry status.

“They produce much more than the Arcana Factory and the Sanctuary,” said Vlad. “Makes sense; they’re materials for the growth of the territory and everything else…”

"Okay, so that’s how it works…” Vlad nodded. “I can research certain things and increase their production quantity, while also unlocking the ability to further level up these buildings related to each research. At the same time, I can also increase the research center level so the research level can also increase… That’s fun.”

“Fun? Sounds like tedious work…” groaned Chris.

"Well, maybe it is for you,” laughed Paul. “Now what do I do? I should probably go offer a blood sacrifice and also give the factory some "fuel,” then we should gather people that could mine the metals and stones. We’ll have to pay them with Credits for that…. Or I could do that myself.”

“Yourself? Ah…” Chris muttered. “Right.”

“Yeah… Blazing Doppelgangers,” said Paul with a smile. “Go and mine me some metals and stones.”

After summoning five of them, he sent them to mine. They didn’t even require tools, using their own flames shaped as pickaxes and solidifying them with their magic powers to break the stones.

CLANK! CLANK! CLANK!

They had already begun working; the loud sound of the mines and the quarry being mined was quite annoying; luckily not many people lived nearby anyways.

At the same time, Vlad moved to the Bloodshed Sanctuary, entering the abandoned ruined church interior, and finding a crimson-colored altar with the statue of what resembled a vampire with long black wings and a halo resembling a moon; her eyes were covered by a blindfold.

“A statue of Achlys, huh?” he said. “Alright, I offer this as a sacrifice.”

Vlad placed a huge corpse on top of the altar, that of a giant armored beast.

The statue’s eyes glowed bright red as it opened its mouth and suddenly sucked the corpse’s blood completely.

FLUOSH!

[The Altar of the Goddess has accepted your sacrifice. The Bloodshed Sanctuary will now produce 100 Blood Energy every day for 7 days.]
