Heavy sad news (Patreon)

Hello my lovelies

I have some pretty sad news concerning my art career ;( 

Basically after doing taxes, I don't see how I can continue to do this full time... I'm going back to the coffee shop life of part time of both... and I hope that makes doing art and having a life sustainable

Unfortunately the tax burden is just so tremendous that even after planning for it, paying quarterlies, and such, I have to cough up over 900$... somehow


This is honestly really heartbreaking for me, but unfortunately America doesn't like small businesses or self employed people lolol and I can't do anything about it except give up on this a little bit 8(


Patreon will remain the same but the amount of commissions I'll be able to do is going to plummet basically, and I'll probably be more discerning with the ones that I choose to do... but maybe conversely I'll be able to focus on my comic work more? Maybe this will work out okay

Thank you for supporting me so much this whole time... it really means so much to me

I'm not gonna click the like button, because I don't like that you have to go back into the service industry; that's something I wouldn't wish on anyone. But I am glad that you'll still be doing your art, even if it is reduced

We understand, and are here for you regardless! Even if we see less of your work I still look forward to whatever you get a chance to produce. Finances suck, and I'm sorry you have to get additional employment, but most of us are right here for you! :)

I'm going to see where I can go for work, and I wanna try for part time first, but I am choosing to start at applying at coffee shops... I really enjoyed it when I was there and wouldn't mind it too much again... but hopefully I can get something alright

just do what you can to sustain your life. thats what matters, just know we'll still he here still loving your art so yea just take care of yourself caffe :)

Probably far from the only one. I know I am going to be in this boat soon. I teach school. I, however; got lucky and had a professors just as interested in teaching us how to do the job of being an educator in the USA's public school system, as oppose to merely working with theory. It may not be much, but I have been taught ways to be a service provider and not break as much bank. Message me.
