Devils tower is a real place. It has great spiritual importance to many tribes of native Americans in that area. As well as really interesting stories about how it was formed and got its shape and scratched appearance from claws of a giant bear. Great movie. Like how it's told from point of view of average man. Mashed potatoes are great!

Glad you guys reacted to this! Thank you! It's one of the sci-fi classics from Spielberg that is often forgotten. It is dated now since it's been many decades, but it's still a good one to watch at least once! Also, hope you both spent the holidays well.

Would you get on the ship? Maybe he did not have a choice after what they did to his subconscious. These aliens weren't totally aggressive. But they did ruin many people's live. The pilots didn't seem to age, but everyone the knew would have. Would government even ever let be free?
