2024 RoadMap and 2023 Recap (Patreon)

Hello! How are you doing? In this post I want to go through the ins and outs of 2023's scenes and what is up for 2024, along with some things that I want your opinion on.

As always, I want to deliver the best content I can, even with the limited amount of time I can spend every week on Koikatsu, so please don't hesitate to comment, request or just talk about anything related to koikatsu or the scenes, I always read the comments.

2023 RECAP:

My first scene upload was on the 1st of January of 2023, I started with static scenes and animated scenes, nothing too complicated, I thought it wouldn't be too hard to animate them since I knew a bit about animation and koikatsu. Oh boy I was wrong.

At one point, I started to struggle with content, I bought content from other creators and studied them... and I couldn't understand anything at all. But still, I kept trying to make new content, so I tried different things, longer animations (that was too much work tbh) and even started Monmusu Album series.

But... as some of you might know already from the last Pixiv post, I ran a poll about Monmusu Album, making a chapter on top of the animation and final photo took me 14h a  day for 3 days straight, it was too much, and it wasn't bringing new people, I even asked for feedback but well... Idk why but nobody says anything.

So... by the end of the year I decided to improve on my weaknesses to reduce time (a lot of the time working is struggling to get something to work or look good), and find a better style for the scenes, and so... 2024 started.

2024 RoadMap and thoughs:

Some of you might not know yet, but I'm an indie developer still working on my first commercial game, we are planning on release it somewhere this year and depending on the success, I might finish uploading Koikatsu content, this is because Koikatsu is my only income and I need it to help my family.

However, there's no tell when that will be and so I thought on some changes for the next couple of months, things will slowly change and I will try new things, for starters, I'm planning on adding new characters to the roost to get some fresh new content:

Hololive Characters (Gura, Fubuki, Rushia, Pekora, Koyori)

Genshin Impact Characters (Yae Miko, Ganyu)

And Rin from Vocaloid

About the scenes and format... I'm going to be a lot more free on what content I will deliver, previously in 2023 I was extremely worried about delivering content all my viewers could find enjoyable, and I tried to not repeat the same types of scenes, this led to frustration, so this year I'm doing the opposite.

You can expect more armpit jobs, tailjobs and weird fetishes.

Monmusu Album is still on hold but I'm planning on going straight to the scenes and ignore the story, this means there will not be continuity, but there will be new characters from time to time.

Scenes will still be changing and adapting, my goal is to make short enjoyable scenes with lots of personality, my animation skills are nowhere near there yet though, but I will still try to improve them in the limited amount of time I have.

I also want to try to add sound to the scenes and videos but currently I can only do it in one of the two, so I'm not sure how to deliver that, what would you prefer?
