Background

Long ago, elves and dwarves tried to fight against Mirnashaya, Fiend Lord of all Rakshasas, alone. Seeing they could not win such a battle, the two people united, crafting a weapon strong enough to defeat the many-faced deity and send it back into the hells from whence it came. That weapon was called Tovarasia, the Blade of Two Kingdoms. It was crafted as a symbol of friendship, of peace, and of a common goal. It would be remembered as the cause of endless wars.

Not long after Mirnashaya was defeated, both dwarves and elves staked their claim to the blade, afraid that the other race would use it against one another. Thus began thousand-year wars between the two peoples, ending when two monarchs met not to bring about peace but a compromise: Tovarasia would be sundered in half. The handle would go to the dwarves, while the elves would be given the shaft. Then, the people would no longer need to interact with one another in the streets or on the battlefield.

For the past five hundred years, elves and dwarves have been rivals, rarely agreeing to meet and carrying a generational hatred for each other. It’s in this society that both Leos, prince of the elves, and Godrissa, princess of the dwarves, met each other. The two fell in love in secret and now plan a small-scale wedding, followed by their escape into the wilderness.
