For the better part of his 50 years, Professor Ordus Bugenheimer has been trying to beat death. Originally an ordinary doctor, Bugenheimer has slowly but surely delved into the world of experimental, non-magical necromancy. But, in his opinion, magic is too flimsy and lacks the ability to give free will to the beings restored to life.
Recently, Professor Bugenheimer has made great progress with his discovery, giving life to an intelligent flesh golem by the name of Hanson. This golem is built with half a brain from a recently-killed bartender named Wilfer Hanson, half the brain of his deceased son, and the flesh of several bodies stolen from the mortuary.
It just so happens that, as the adventurers arrive within Professor Bugenheimer’s proximity, Hanson has disappeared, making the Professor increasingly panicked and in need of adventurers to aid him.
