Hey everyone,

this time something a bit different. A while back, riot released a legend of rune terra supplement for 5e, which was filled with super cool ideas, before removing them (because of reasons ?).

One of my players feel in love with the path of the depths, but it had a few issues (at will teleportation for one), so I reworked it, but I never released it, so here it is for everyone to enjoy. 

Obvisouly I'm releasing it here for free because I don't want Riot to come knocking on my door with the police behind them and spent the rest of my life designing home-brews in jail.

Changes from the original:


  • Gift of the drowned ones: added cold resistance (because the rest of the abilities rarely come up, except in an underwater campaign)
  • Ghostwater Dive: limited the teleportation to CON mod per short or long (still a lot, but not at will, which was an issue)
  • Manifestations of the Deep: Rephrased ‘Arms of the Deep’ to be more understandable 
  • Depth Charge: nothing yet, but I’m considering bumping the damage to 4d6 to make up for the fact that the teleportation isn’t at will anymore

Very cool! I might create a few NPCs with this for my Ghosts of Saltmarsh campaign :) perhaps a tribe of Barbarians serving an Eldritch-Water-Demon
