Thanks to the support of you fine folks I'm more easily able to experiment and try out new things than perhaps I otherwise would be. I felt like fiddling around with some different paints to see if I find something I like, and this is the result of my first go with acrylics.

I don't know if it's quite good enough to bother posting in my main gallery so I may not bother with that, but since I'm only able to play around like this thanks to you folks I thought you might wanna take a look. More (and hopefully better) on the way.

That's freaking amazing, better than most of the stuff I ever did in my painting classes in college. It perfectly matches your other works, in both style and quality.

Aw, thanks man! I'm still very much stumbling in the dark when it comes to acrylic paint... it's very different from watercolours, so there's not a lot of skill that translates directly over. But it would be nice to have another option to play with when the picture I have in mind isn't suited well to water paints, so I'm giving it a go! Hopefully I can smooth out some of the rough edges in future pictures. :D

I had fun with acrylics, wanted to do more of it, but didn't really get the chance. I remember when the professor hinted at how to do gradients and stumbling into the technique myself that night. So very nice on a first go. :)

Lovely! ^.^ And very awesome that you're more free to experiment—that's very cool. ^.^
