Y'all wanted a name, so I gave her one. I genuinely didn't pick the name because it sounds like "tall", in fact I didn't even notice until I was already thinking about it for a while. But I'm not gonna complain either, it's stupid in just the kind of way I love. :P

So, there you go! Named maned lady.

I put those in because it's a fairly important part of a character to know- I've often been faced with having to run back and contact people when I noticed their ref sheet doesn't show the paw pad colour, which is moderately annoying so I put it in to cover all the details. But I don't mind one bit if the pawsluts get a kick out of it either. x3

That mane really makes the back view pop nicely I think. It kinda disappears from the front- I might fluff it out to the sides a bit so it's more visible from the front as well, kinda feels like we're missing out!

I thought you cleverly thought through names until you created both a great name and a name to pander to your idea of long. I am curious how you arrived here seemingly by accident. Still a great name regardless.

Oh, I used the same method I always do. If I want to name a character I'll typically start by searching baby-naming sites, searching through names by meaning until I find one that both feels appropriate somehow and also means something relevant. The only difference this time was that I limited to Portuguese names, or at least names that could reasonably be found in that general area, so it look longer to find one I liked. None of them really had both a relevant meaning and a nice sound, so I eventually gave up and just started looking for names that kinda sounded nice without thinking about the meaning too much. I found myself eyeing Tahlia and thinking it sounded decent, and only after considering it a good choice for a while did I notice it also sounds a bit like tall and that pretty much sealed the deal.

I was thinking why Portuguese until I had the brilliant insight to look up the location of the native habitat of a maned wolf. It seems that it lives in South America with its largest range in Brazil. So, that answers that.

I can't take credit for the idea, someone else mentioned she should have a name from that area and I ran with it. :P I don't think it's a super Portuguese name, I think it actually comes from Hebrew or something like that, but at the very least I don't think it would sound too out of place in that general area and I did find it on a "Portuguese names" site so I'm counting it, hah.
