Before we even begin- this is as much curiosity as anything else, this poll will not necessarily be binding. If I get inspired to do something or some great opportunity comes up I'll most likely end up following it, but I'm curious to see what y'all like to see from me. It may tip the scales a little, at least! I've sorta been waffling about for a little while without any major direction in what I wanna do next, so this might help me pick.

For further information in each area:

Traditional art stuff: I'd probably just start going through my remaining waitlist here and try to get that cleared up so I can finally get rid of it and make some much needed updates to my commission method/prices, hah. But, that would result in some watercolour filth for you all to see, most likely.

Digital art stuff: I don't really have any major plans here... I guess I'd just practice digital art some more. Maybe do another YCH or something.

3D/Animation stuff: If I went in this direction I'd either end up experimenting with style stuff some more, or making a new model, or maybe just taking a model commission, it's been a while since I did that. In the long run this would likely result in more models to see stuff in and at least one new animation.

Game Dev stuff: I don't expect too many people to be chomping at the bit to see more of this, but I also didn't expect anyone to care the first time I brought it up and instead I saw massive amounts of support, so I'll throw it here. I haven't had much to show but I've been quietly pecking away at this in my spare time, getting a better feel for using Unity and scripting stuff. I've got my little dude running around in a tiny, ugly little test world, properly colliding with stuff and interacting with objects, able to switch between mouse-tracking and simply facing the movement direction with all the animations set up and working. Progress is slow but still, progress is progress. I'm not sure what I'd have to show if I doubled down in this area, but in the super duper long run if I get good enough to actually make a game, there is the potential for some sort of interactive smut. That's not my main goal in learning gamedev, but you know it would happen sooner or later, hah.

Comic stuff: Ungggg. I'm not sure I'm mentally prepared to dive back into this one yet. But I do have ideas... if this blows the vote out of the water maybe I'll start warming up toward actually tackling another. The failed hunt series would make for some pretty good comic fodder, for example... or maybe that hypno/mind control content I keep wanting to make and keep not making for some reason. Those would be big though... I'd want to maybe just start with a tiny one to dip my toes back into it. Not sure. But there's options!

So, like I said, this isn't binding, mainly curious to see what you all want to see, but it may help nudge me in a certain direction more seriously for a while instead of just sort waffling back and forth between all of them and not being able to decide so instead doing nothing. x3

You've got excellent models and animation to work with, I'd be down for a game.

more water color <3

I would like to see whatever keeps you from burning out! burnout sucks, my dude.

Hah, that's why I said that this poll isn't strictly binding in two separate places... I'll probably poke around with whatever wins for a bit, but if I decide in the end it's not what I feel like doing for an extended period I'm not going to feel like too big a jerk for moving on. Saves me from getting burnouty on it!

DjtHeutii

I would love to see more of anything from you :) but your animations are great. Second to that would be more “traditional style” stuff. Maybe more YCH stuff. If not a comic about mind control/hypnosis stuff then maybe like a “set” of YCH scenes. :)

ruaidri

Aw, well thanks. :D Currently it looks like the vote agrees with you... we'll see how it goes!

Mystery Boy

I love everything you do! But I especially love your 3D animations.

PsyMar

I love all your work, but your traditional art, to me, is the one area where you stand out the most among furry artists!

Chillum

It's really not easy. I really like 3D / animation stuff. But a game just sounds too tempting. At the same time, I want the "failed hunt" to continue. But I also want to see your art ... Since I can't make up my mind, I say .... Don't focus, do what you want and let yourself be guided by your inspiration ^^

Bloudin Ruo

I'm no help in this because I love everything on the list, ha. And plus, you have my support no matter what you end up doing :) I think you've got a great handle on traditional, digital and 3D animation stuff. None of those will ever get old and there's limitless inspiration for them. Switching between the three keeps them all fresh and engaging for you, too! The game development stuff, in my personal opinion, is a huge can of worms. I'd love to see it happen, but it takes an enoooormous amount of time, especially for one person. Not saying you shouldn't do it, just want you to know what you're signing on for since near every person I've seen jump into game development has been blindsided by that. But it would be a super cool project! Biggest thing I want to put at the forefront of comics is that they don't have to be a book. 3 pages, 5 pages, 50 pages, they're all comics. If you want to dip your toes back into it, why not lay out a really quick one that's under 10 pages, maybe even under 5? I know it's easy to see 50, 100, 150+ page comics out there from popular creators and think "That's what a comic is" but in reality, it can be however short or long you want it to be! Regardless, I'm here for whatever you choose to do ^^

ruaidri

Hah, well thank yas. :D Part of the reason I set this up is 'cause I don't really have a super strong inspiration at the moment, and seeing what people are excited to see more of might help inspire me in that direction. But don't worry, if some major muse comes along I'll be sure to follow it!

ruaidri

D'aw, well thank yas! Glad you've been enjoying all the pervy directions I've been heading lately, hah. The reason I took this long to even start messing with game stuff is precisely because I know exactly how much work would go into getting anywhere with it. I know full well that even if I dropped everything and dedicated myself to it, it would likely be a handful of years before I had anything significant, and a few more before I had anything resembling a game, hah. My goals with it at the moment aren't exactly "Make a game", I'm just trying to learn how it works and fiddle with all the toys. If nothing else I could see making a few simple interactive experiences with it, like having some naughty animations where you can click a button to move to the next scene, like back when flash was a thing, hah. Something like that wouldn't be too terribly difficult I think. And as I learn and grow and figure out how things work maybe a game could become a possibility. But for now my goal is basically just "play around with unity". :P As for comics, yeah, that's pretty much what I was thinking. If I get back into it, initially it would probably just be low single digit page counts just to spit out some quick simple ideas. I'm not ready to commit to anything huge just yet!

Bloudin Ruo

Okay yeah, you understand fully! I'm preaching to the choir, ha. And now that I hear what your scope would be for Unity/game work, I think those would be good goals to play around with, so long as you're enjoying it! In the end, follow where your inspiration takes you, and I'll be here! <3

I love all your recent animations and experimenting in different mediums, but I also do miss the shear amount of traditional drawings you used to put out. Obviously animations take a lot more time, but with tons of traditional paintings, there’s a lot more chances to find something that perfectly tickles one’s fancy.

Chastity Coyote

I will agree here. Love what your doing but love what you did too. Nothing wrong with moving forward I say, You got incredible talent and might make something of it easily. Just dont step away from what you got thats solid ether.

ruaidri

Aw, well thanks to ya both. No plans on giving up on any of the stuff I previously did... yeah, there's a bit less of it to make room for the new stuff, but I think that's a reasonable trade. It's not going to disappear though, for sure!
