Been steadily working away at this guy. He's got his fur and hair on now- so have another WIP! He's damn near finished, just need to make some final adjustments, and add texture details to fleshy areas and hooves and stuff like that. Soon time to be animating though, we're getting there!

Don't know how the hell I'm going to fit that log into a little fox, but we'll figure that out when the time comes I guess.

Foxes are spatial anomalies that can fit multiples of their own body size within them

This is very true! The question is, can I defy the laws of physics in the same way with my fox model. The hammerspace found inside foxes is hard to capture digitally. x3

Definitely finding a lot of places that I was interested in with the previous WIP have been smoothed over wonderfully! The ears feel very horse instead of donkey, he's taken more shape and definition all throughout the body that really accentuates certain areas, like the calves and fetlocks. I'm also normally of the opinion that hair on anthropomorphic characters can look weird easily, but his hair fits very well. Maybe because I'm seeing more Frisian in him and they tend to have long, flowing manes that drape over their forehead (along with being jet black with flowing fetlocks). Either way, it works! Love the side view you included. Really shows off the curves and definition of the body, and he's quite the looker. Shaft length is feeling a little bit long compared to the overall size of the character, so if you start running into limitation in model-meshing during the animation stage, I don't think it would hurt the visual appearance of this guy to size him down in length (girth looks good!) where needed. Really excited to see this guy in action, you did an amazing job as usual!
