I could go on for hours about all the problems long hair causes in animation. Now, just making long hair that looks nice isn't terribly difficult, but making long hair that's animation ready, that's a real struggle. And making animation-friendly long hair using blender's physics? That way lies madness.

You may have noticed that I recently did a little animation featuring our red panda friend here, and even that short little four second clip caused so many problems that I'm officially throwing in the towel. 3D Mishu gets a bun. With the way I set it up, there's still a little physics to deal with, but it's done in a way that should be considerably less problematic, hopefully. 2D Mishu can continue to wear her hair down, but I'm done dealing with that nonsense in 3D, hah.

She's gonna need more tweaks at some point, something about her face kinda bugs me, but this has already taken me an entire day and a half of work so it'll do for now.

I also finally got around to making the poor girl a skirt so she doesn't have to walk around showing her bits all the time. She probably will most of the time still, but at least it's an option now, hah.

Anyway, just a random lil' update on what I've been up to. Panda! :D

hey ruaidri, do you have any worldbuilding ideas? your characters include business professionals, sentient robots, and various species.

I'm not sure what you mean- just like... in general? Or are you looking for specific tips or something? :P Honestly I just kind of make characters entirely at random and then see what happens when I mash 'em together, it's kinda fun trying to find excused to fit the random pieces together!
