Because the resounding feedback from my friends was, exactly however they felt about Breath of the Wild, I expect this to be a 7/10.

I just noticed right now the acronym for Tears of the Kingdom looks like a crying face! ToTk. Didn't have anyone else to share this with than you lot ^.~

Your BotW review was exactly how I felt about the first game, and based on this I probably won't buy ToTK. I'll wait for the sails (heh).

We all knew it was going to be a 7/10 affair. Frankly, it could have been utterly perfect as a game and it'd *still* be deserving of a 7/10 just because of the awfulness of some of the fanbase, haha.

I appreciate this review a lot. I'm not a fan of the Zelda series in general. I do remember something you've said in a few reviews before. "It's not about difficulty it's about respecting the players time" and I can't agree enough. I think open world as a genre has so much potential but it is often filled with collection quests and menial busywork. Give me a smaller area and make the exploration rewarding! I don't think it's too much to ask!

Pretty much my experience, like steph said, it’s great for all the reasons botw was, and irritating for all the same reasons it was too. For better or worse it’s just more botw with a more densely packed world and a cleverer power set, reminds me a lot of new Vegas vs fallout 3 really
