This episode is about Ark: Survival Evolved and its DLC controversy. That's all it's about.

There's nothing else I want to talk about, and I definitely don't mention any other subject but this.

The B-roll of this episode makes Ark look like a dodo-punching simulator

I see in the video's comment section that Star Citizen is brought up — My advice is to avoid that subject/community entirely. It's on par with SJW drama. (I say this as someone who has been in a small-medium Star Citizen guild since 2013...we've been avoiding the official community like the plague)

So people are writing negative reviews just with the words "Paid DLC" in them. That's not a review at all and just makes a sham out of the review score.

Apropos of nothing (certainly not due to anything in the above video, which absolutely did not talk about anything remotely associated with this topic): it's going to be kind of sad if a certain court case against certain anonymous commenters/reviewers actually manages to get some legal traction. Targeted, coordinated, anonymous attacks are a serious issue, and if /this/ is the case that actually shines a light on the whole mess and gets some precedent set, I'm going to start drinking and never stop.

On the contrary, it's even people like myself who haven't touched the game since December that are bothered by this idea of them needing to release DLC for an unfinished game. ARK has had developmental problems more or less since it's release onto Steam, and even in the few months I played it (which was still quite a ways after it came out), there was little to no real correction of gameplay bugs and hardware issues. Instead, they focused on ever more content to keep people coming back, keep them interested. This is just an outrageous evolution of that idea.
