Monster hunter world did away with a lot of garbage. If you want to get into it, I would start with the greatsword or heavy bow gun. It is one of my favorite games BUT you have to love boss fights. The entire game is 20m boss fights. Also, YouTube is your friend but it is a very fun game, especially with friends. BTW, that is the entire point of the game, to play with 3 other friends. There were huge gatherings of this game in Japan but is still a very Japanese video game. Many systems, all unexplained, huge learning curve, and failure is a very real option. It is a lot of fun except getting decorations. It forces you to grind like mad for very low drop decorations that might make a build. But again, Japan.
