"Doom: Annihilation" is a new movie. It is direct-to-home markets. The movie you are thinking of starred Dwayne Johnson, Karl Urban, and Rosamund Pike.

I liked "Doom: Annihilation" much more than the "Doom" film that starred The Rock. The new film is not great, but at least it uses a lot of the iconography from the video game. It was as good as a Doom movie as it could be for its budget and talents.

Oh, if Jim likes JOAN DARK, he should read the Gray Death Legion trilogy of the Classic BattleTech novels. Main character? GRAYson DEATH Carlyle. Yuuuup. As in, his given name. He's like, just out of his teens in the first book? This isn't like, a hardcore nickname he's earned as some kind of tough-guy soldier. His PARENTS gave him that fucking name. The 80s, everyone.
