This is what people have praising? This mediocre shooter with broken co-op and the most unimaginative boss design I've seen in years? Well... okay, then. 

Remnant: From The Ashes is a game I do not understand the love for. At best it's pedestrian, drab, and repetitive. At worst it's a pissin' nightmare.

If Remnant: From the Ashes was a soup, here is how it was made: The chef went into the dining room and asked everyone what ingredients they'd like most. Then he grabbed all of these ingredients out of the freezer. Noticing they'd all not fit into one pot, he cut everything small and just took little pieces. And because all of this took so long, there was no time to taste it off...

I was going to stick it out assuming that the game got much better after the tutorial. How else could the reviews be so positive? At least I saw this in time to get a refund. Thanks for saving me money again.

Watching your Jimpression's video was literally the first time I became aware of this games existence. It looks very, how do I put this, <i>actively</i> and <i>deliberately</i> average. It never ceases to amaze me how various forms media outlets can create fantasy and science-fiction worlds that are utterly uninspiring and devoid of personality.

To be fair... games have sucked a lot for years and people praise them for god knows what reason.

As someone that is very critical of the industry, I can say this game does get better pretty fast, and turns out to be pretty fun. Most of your criticisms seemed to be based on the first few hours. Honestly, it's not up to the consumer to "stick it out" with a game—developers should make it enthralling from the get go, so I understand your perspective. I do really like this game though, I'm having a blast, flaws aside.

This game has some incredible flashes of brilliance, but the Boss Fights are just so very awful.
