Capcom, Konami, Electronic Arts, Ubisoft, Activison... there's no shortage of "AAA" publishers to rail on for their naughty behavior. One company often gets overlooked, however, and it's one of the naughtiest - Warner Brothers Interactive Entertainment. Following the announcement of Batman: Arkham Knight's $40 season pass, we take a look at some of WB's cheekiest stunts - by no means an exhaustive list, but a great look at its feeding of pre-order culture, DLC saturation, and general lack of customer care.

The season pass trend is fucking exhausting. It feels like publishers keep coming up with new ways to take more money from us entirely to keep us off balance. I'm still angry that preorder bonuses exist at all, never mind paying double for a game to make sure I don't miss out on content or get gated off from other parts of a divided multiplayer community.

Its why people need a backlog. By the time you get round to game X its the complete game for sale for very little. If it's even worth bothering with in the first place.

"I really wish I had a turkey leg right now". I seriously laughed at this. You are awesome.

I never buy games upon release, let alone preorders, with the exceptions of certain uniquely honest games like Cities: Skylines. It is not worth paying $100 to $120 due to social pressures when you can just get the complete package a couple years later for $40 or even $20.

The annoying thing about the current Arkham game's pre-order bait is they're dangling Harley Quinn in front of me; I am sucker for the good doctor.

If you see a crass season-pass rip-off, warn a brother...
