Definitely enjoyed this podcast, especially with watching this movie in preparation. Glad you guys are going to do Castlevania Season 2 next week (and not Waterworld). It will be fun to hear you guys talk about that one.

It wasn’t at all about VR - it’s about mind control. That’s why it didn’t age well. Also: Most of the animated sequences were not made for this movie and were bought as stock footage.

If you are going to do a '80s movie plus bad sequel' episode of the Spin-Off Doctors, I would beg you to do War Games (1 and 2) instead of this dross. The first War Games is obviously cringe-worthy in many ways but kind of cute in how simple it is, and the sequel made some point about the current political situation in the time it was released. Love the show, love all the shows!!!

The best part of this episode is the knowledge that we may get a Lawnmower Man 2 later down the line. Looking forward to it.
