I enjoyed Home Sweet Home a lot more than I normally would. Don't get me wrong, I love horror games, but this does fit rather snugly into the "competently made P.T. clone" category. Despite it being one of those walk-over-here-and-something-spooky-happens games, I personally dig the folkloric touches. Seeing a towering swollen-bellied Preta (Thai undead spirit known as a "hungry spirit") rendered so lovingly terrifying was a highlight for me.

Maybe people are hyping it because of some connection (or mistakenly perceived connection) to "Sweet Home", which is considered one of the first survival horror games?
