The CEOs saying this, talking about tipping, etc. are indefensible. Either they're greedy and shouldn't get another dime or they're bad at their jobs and should be fired. There's no third option. If they were good at their jobs, their studios would make plenty of profit and they wouldn't bitch about it. If they're not good at their jobs, then they'll have spent decades complaining about a lack of profits. It's also wild how so many smaller studios can be doing just fine making relatively cheap games with a small team for a decade and within a few years of being gobbled up by a "savvy businessman" get dissolved because they're suddenly not profitable. Almost like they suck at whatever job they're supposedly doing.

You know what I keep thinking of? About ten or so years ago when Australia's game prices seemed really high. They seemed high because Australia's currency was relatively strong, and US dollars were really cheap comparatively. But now Britain's game prices are high because the pound is down the toilet. And... how can a strong and a weak currency both be used to justify high prices?
