They say that if you wanna hear the gods laugh, tell ‘em your plans. I suppose writing it down and posting it on Patreon is equivalent to speaking it out loud. Although that would mean the gods are eavesdropping or subscribed to Patron only posts.

Either way, the last month was a doozy. There were illness, fam troubles, celebrations, and the ever devouring ability crushing writer’s block. It wasn’t just your normal writers block of not knowing what to write, but that insidious type where you know what you want to write and have a plan, but all the education and years of experience has crumpled into a heap and every word typed causes two words to be deleted.

It’s a frustrating thing. I mean, it’s been a year since I first posted the first chapter for Interdimensional Garbage Merchant and in the last year I’ve written roughly 673 thousand words in four books. That’s pretty remarkable. I would have figured that these bouts of writer’s block, inability to put words to computer, and the frustration resulting from it was all in the past. It’s the reason I wanted to do serialization, for it gave me a reason to write everyday and post as fast as possible.

It also gave me a way to think through the plots and eventually come around to figure out what I did wrong and then try to fix it. That’s the ultimate reason why I think I’ve faltered in my strides to world domination. Second guessing. I wrote about it before, but its one of those nefarious things that niggles its way into your brainpan and causes all kinds of mischief.

So, I’m still around. I’m still trying to write. And once again I’ll make the promise as last month. I’ll update as much as possible and try to keep to the promises I made when first beginning this Patreon. Write, update, and make a good story that you’ll all enjoy.
