Hey everyone!

I've just handed over part 1 to my editors, which is 17.5k so far. I expect I'll finish part 2 by about the 5th or 6th of April depending on how much time I get to write it over the next few days.

As soon as I finish chapter 101, I'll get the paperback for eBook 2 set up, then wrap up the edits for eBook 3. Then I'll launch straight into chapter 102! :-)

I'm discussing a Raptor commission with the artist that did the banner art, so hopefully I'll have some more news on that front soon.

Ahhhhh must see about getting the paperbacks before too long. Thanks for the update.

As always, looking forward to reading the result of your creativity, Tefler!

Indeed, thank you for the update and your dedication :)

Thanks, Tefler. I am waiting patiently (fingers crossed behind back). Hope, you took some "ME" time, we don't want you to burn out. Keep your health and rest with your family when you can. Notice you've doubled, to your start writing as a goal. Congrats!!!!

bigdawguw65

Thanks for the update , can relax a little now , knowing what's happening . I'm sure a lot of we fans worry when things go "dark" , we have all had stories we love just stop or fade away & feel so helpless , and in none that we have become so entwined with . I think a lot of us , especially those who post here & on Discord feel we are somehow helping to support your efforts & I'm sure there are a few prayers said every night on your continued health & inspiration .

Evan

Tefler, I hope that you had or are having a fabulous holiday time with your family, but I do thank you very much for the update and your seemingly tireless efforts in doing the work that you're doing! I'm looking forward to book #2, ebook #3 and chapter 101!

Anonymous

I bought the ebooks.... But can you get signed physical books???

Eggcellent......

Thanks for the update Tefler. As a new Patreon I wanted to take this opportunity to thank you for the story and your diligence in always looking to develop your writing. It has given me a good deal of enjoyment and it is a pleasure to finally be able to become a paying member. I live and work in a country where literature is censored by the state and access to a lot of websites are limited. On the other hand joining Patreon outside of the country allows it to work inside.

Can't believe its been a month since Ch. 100! (Once again congrats on reaching 100 chapters.) Glad that youre back in the swing of things, but more glad that you spent the time rejuvenating and refreshing yourself with art and writing. Cant wait to see how the crew tackles Tartarus!

Anonymous

Thanks for the update. For me, uncertainty is worse than impatience.

Trimtab

Do you have any openings for editors? ;-) Okay this comment started in humor but i realize now that I'm not really even joking, i'd love to help. Heh.

Anonymous

Get in line. Some people pay 10+ bucks per chapter for that privileged access. 😜 I‘d like to help to. If he‘d let them, most of the 1500+ patrons would edit.

Anonymous

Hey tefler tell patreon I know card is not working and after I get home in few weeks when I get new card you will get played. Card was hacked and not being home is problem with you not getting payed.

Forbsey

Got a question for Tefler regarding how your editors go about their work. For one, how many editors do you have? Do you segment different scenes of the chapter to each editor to scrutinize and swap changed edits to each other for a somewhat peer reviewed method? Does one of the editors have a 'chief' status to help segment and review the completed changes to send to you for approval/revise? I know that you mentioned that you can't reveal your plans to your editors regarding the story, but a 'chief' editor may be a good candidate to help you in that regard? Just some thoughts to maybe help to streamline the process.

Just wanted to say tef this is the perfect ealry birthday present will make it that much more special. Also your health and well being are always the most important glad you took some time for yourself

Qrystof

Just caught up to this story after discovering the first couple books on Amazon. Holy shit mate, what a tale. Thanks Tefler.

Do we know where Charon IV is in relation to Kirrix space? We know it's near the Trankaran border. I can't be the only person who wants to see Titanium Jake and Katie take out a Kirrix hive ship. It seems like the timeline of the two stories might be close enough to support it, though I wasn't able to tell if Jake retired before or after Tashana went to the Unclaimed Wastes..

Anonymous

2 to 3 more days to go for Chapter 101...

Anonymous

I commented on that in the chapter 100 thread. It would be cool to see Irillith and Tashana fan-girl geeking out when they meet him. Dana can pimp out KaTie, then Rachael can heal him and he gets to live happily ever after.

Jedi Khan

Alrighty, it's the 5th of April. How we looking for chapter 101? Any hope for today? Tomorrow? The weekend?

Trimtab

Goodness look at all of us Chapter addicts! heh...

DemonHunterCole

I wouldn't be surprised if we get a note saying there's been a delay and it won't happen until April 20th or something crazy like that...

Anonymous

Guys you need to cool your jets, if you keep pressing Tefler you will just delay us in the next segment. He was burnt out and the pressure doesn't help. He will get the chapter done when he does so act more like adults and enjoy some other authors.

Anonymous

Agreed. I’ve been logging into disco and Patreon every couple hours all week but I don’t want tor use Tefler because if he gets burnt out, we all lose out on a wonderful story

Big Dude

If you notice, this is the first Big Dude post in a while. Seems people are lacking the Patience Gene. Was it excised back in March?

I've written about 25k of chapter 101 so far, so maybe late tomorrow night, it depends how productive I am during the day. :-)

Does anyone want to speculate how crazy Jade is going to be, remembering how she reacted during the ambush of the crew on earth and the guilt she felt afterwards for not being able to protect everyone? Her powers have increased significantly since then.

Anonymous

I have a nasty feeling Weber is going to meet a Kirrix close up ;)

Anonymous

It’s going to bad in then for them on the base but if Tefler has been slaving over fight scenes it probably isn’t going to be easy for Jade and the crew, if they get there before she is finished.

Please excuse typos, autocorrect is what I blame.

LMAO: Someone on lit said: @ John Blackhawk You said: "Also i think either the Invictus or prehaps Maliri space is the safest place for the nymphs at the moment." This was my response: I am thinking the question (after the Nymphs are strengthened, freed and become mommas) is more, Who would be safe from the Nymphs? Momma Bears have nothing on a whole pack of..................Godzillas!!!!!!! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T65rW_SIzg0

Tic Tok, tic tok, dam I’m bored. The wait is killing me.

Tefler

I've got about 2k left to write, so I'll wrap up the chapter tomorrow. It should be up by the afternoon. :-)

Anonymous

Here's a question to occupy everyone whilst we wait: The gang are busting Tartarus to rescue Jehenna and the Nymphs. But what other interesting things are they going to find? It occurs to me that a blacksite like Tartarus has a fairly high likelyhood of containing other ultrasecret projects and materials.

Anonymous

Anxiously waiting in eastern standard time.

I wonder if Tef will create some sort of bird-like species? Faye does not count. We have lizards, bugs, cats, aquatic, earth and fire. May be an ultra low gravity world?

PLRus--Founding member of the TSM F5 club.

The Kirrix battle debrief: Dana gave him a brilliant smile. "I just lowered the melting point of all that steel! It was hot down there with lava all over the place, so the metal just slid right into the canyon!" If she can lower the melting point she can also raise it. Would that not be a good thing with the armor for the ship and the suits?

Jedi Khan

Okay, so it's 3pm Tefler time, and since he said 101 would likely be ready by the afternoon today, that means we should have the chapter in the next few hours before it becomes evening time. Hopefully.

I was a bad boy on Discord last night. I said Tefler had posted Chapter 101 and everyone frantically hit F5...lol...I so got reamed afterwards! LOL

Somebody could have been hurt - cardiac arrest comes to mind... :-)

We tend not to do evenings here Jedi.Afternoon stretches till dusk or 8pm,which ever comes first

F5? oh you are referring to the blank key in the top row - the nearly worn out one - yes?

that's the one. Mine is almost completely worn out, it haa trouble getting back up :)

Anthony Kester

Your F5 key still works? Lucky bastard.

Dragon

Just finished rereading the whole story, waiting somewhat patiently for chapter 101

Honestly, I’m quite content to wait while Tefler adds to and/or refines the next chapter.

Good Morning Terrain Federation! Its been a real pressure cooker today as we watched Emperor Baledranax of the Kintark and his battle fleet attack Terra during the seven o'clock morning traffic. Our Terrain Fleet fought back bravely, but weren't able to save Fleet Admeral Buckingham. But as the fear and panic were at the worst, a shining light filled the sky as The Lion of the Federation and his Lionesses came onto the Battlefield, having already saved Olympus Station. The Kintark fleet and it's ground troops were quickly beaten and Emperor Baledranax was beheaded by John himself. Strange weather, such as Fire Tornados and sudden wind gusts that would flip Kintark tanks, have been reported and some are speculating the the Lion may have new classified weapons, others are saying that the planet its self was rejecting the Kintark. After giving medical aid to many of our troops the Lion, took back to the sky on another mission that we are all eagerly awaiting to hear any details about it. I'm Chad Adams and this has been your Traffic and News update, now back to the music...

With Ch-101 imminent, I feel obliged to express my single critique of 100. I really enjoyed the last chapter, but... With four days notice, in the heart of the Core Worlds, how is it that the invading Kentark were able to put more troops on the battlefield than the TF on its own Home World? I recognize the tactical advantages of armored and shielded Kintark ground troops, but the TF Home Defense and available reserves were routed in hours. Were there no more TF troops that could have been deployed?

Anonymous

Does anyone know in which timezone tefler is? Over here, in France, the 8th of april will be in a bit more than an hour.

Anonymous

If I had to guess, the answer would be no. With a unified planet, there would not be a need for regional/country standing armies on Terra, just some defense forces. What would the need be? The majority of the fighting troops would be Marines deployed to colony worlds or in the fleets. Most of them would be out of range for the recall, and any that made it would have a hard time being integrated with standing forces.

7:00 AM Morning News Edition: Open scene with firefighters fighting a Plasma Fire in the background...lots of activity. This is your military services reporter John Lewis, on scene at the Olympus shipyard with an update on the Kintark battle here at the station! A confidential source high in the Military here at Olympus has informed us that the Lioness known as Calara, currently with the Lion of the Federation on his ship the Invictus, sent battle plans to the Fleet stationed here at Olympus for refit.

PLRus--Founding member of the TSM F5 club.

Due to massive technological advances, which we are told were recent gifts from the Lion himself, the ships undergoing refit wreaked havoc on Elite elements of the Kintark forces! Reporter ducks as a fighter/gunship/troop transport group lifts off to his left and flies overhead with a deafening roar to take control of the remaining Kintark ships. Just as the fleet withdrew due to their loss of shields, the Lion and the Invictus flew in at fantastic speeds and within moments the Kintark fleet suffered massive losses and immediately surrendered! And as you just heard, Marines are moving in to take control of the remaining Elite Kintark forces here at Olympus!

Look on the bright side ..... Tefler said he had another 2k to write. So its either an absolutely awesome 2k we can expect, or he threw in a few extra or expanded scenes for the chapter.

Thank you for that excellent reporting John Lewis, it's heartening to know our Marines have things well in hand there at Olympus Shipyards. In continuing coverage of the Battle for Terra we have Mehgan Foxx in orbit with new updates on ship movement and losses in both fleets. And later Dr. Dadd may have a report on the possible connection between our Lion and the Maliri Government.

Midnight has fallen upon France without a new chapter, how sad. snif.

From the Citadel -- It has been confirmed by multiple sources within the Admiralty that last night an advanced Maliri war fleet crossed into Terran Space from the Brimorian Enclave and sped to the Defense of Terra. This was their first known foray outside their own empire in nine thousand years, and their presence here was at the invitation of Vice Admiral John Blake, a friend of the Maliri leadership, who crossed into TF space hours after them. According to sources familiar with these events, both Blake and the Maliri were aware of the Kintark invasion long before our TFed defenders, which raises serious questions that need to be answered. Maliri warships used vastly superior beam weapons to take down the stronger Kintark shields, that TF forces had not been able to defeat, rendering their kinetic weapons ineffective. Once the Maliri fleet engaged the invaders, TF forces rallied, then were able to hit the invaders with all their weapons. Lioness Calara Fernandez, commanding the Invictus, took tactical control of Terran, Maliri and Olympus fleet operations and redeployed her forces towards the guns of Saturn. Maliri fighters and bombers came to the rescue of depleted TF strike craft and helped to turn the tide of battle. In an imaginative reversal of fortune, Comander Fernandez led the combined fleets in a crushing counter attack that left the invaders broken and in ruin with Terra victorious in space. The dramatic duel between the Lion and the Kintark Dragon Emperor, seen via a live broadcast, punctuated the defeat of the invaders, and led to the surrender of their surviving forces. The people of the Terran Federation sincerely thank the Lion, Lionesses and their Maliri allies, for without their intervention, we would be facing dark days indeed. Back to the studio...

LunarLilith

Jehanna should be pleased that the news reports supporting the Lion and his allies are still being broadcast, despite her disappearance. :)

Anonymous

Meanwhile, Fox News would be complaining already about how the Maliri were undocumented aliens and should never have been allowed into the solar system ;)

Anonymous

*knock knock knock* Mr. Lewis. Federation Security. We need to have a word with you regarding recent seditious broadcasts, as well as several incidents of false TSM announcements. You are going to have to come with us.

Anonymous

Now, as we struggle to recover from this shocking attack on our very own Federation, it’s important that we don’t panic. Although the damage incurred has yet to be truly mended, we can rest assured: Our species will live to see another day. But even now, as the dust settles in the hour of our victory, us Terrans have already begun expressing one of our most prominent qualities in wake of the bloodshed: Our curiosity. And for good reason: We just witnessed quite a few strange turns of events, and as a journalist, it’s my honor ask the important questions on your behalf. So, let’s talk about the most important story following this battle: Our apparent saviors. John Blake and his mysterious companions have aided Terrankind many times: But this time, he was forced to show his hand, using every ace in the hole he had. John Blake has always been a friend of the Terrans, but the lion always seemed to like his privacy... up until now. So, even as the admiralty kept their secrets of the coming bloodshed from the public, John Blake apparently saw fit to take the gloves off. Even as we continue this broadcast, new reports of miraculous feats are coming in. Some of them could be explained away by newly developed technology… others, not as much. It’s been an unspoken truth these past few months in the federation: That something was up with our newest hero. He had a extraordinary crew of identically beautiful women, each sharing the same height and build, with none of them showing so much as a scratch, despite months of conflict. To the extent that we could observe, each had skills and abilities that should have unattainable for ones so young. Add that to a certain Lioness’s breakthrough medical contributions, and even the most hardened conspiracy theorist would have some valid concerns. But tonight is not the night for needless inquiry: Now is a time for rebuilding, and a time for newfound friendship with the Maliri.... We can only hope that the Lion is willing to let us into the fold in the coming weeks: because we’re more than willing to return the favour for him.

Anonymous

From the Citadel -- Participants and eye witnesses to the final climactic moments of the Battle of the Citadel report that the turning point occurred with the arrival of the Lion of the Federation. Kintark ground forces had rolled over our soldiers, and four Kintark capital ships were battering the planetary shields and defensive bunkers. Vice Admiral Blake, with three Lionesses, made an orbital drop into the thick of the Kintark staging area. After somehow destroyed four capital warships in no time, they advanced rapidly toward the Citadel. Observers said freak weather and firestorms seemed to aide the white armored warriors who fought unscathed through Kintark lines to join the defenders of the Citadel. Before the Lion dueled with the Dragon, he was joined on the parapets by two more Lionesses who lead a force of golden armored Maliri Marines -- all of whom appeared to be female. It was remarked with consternation by many of those who fought in that last stand that the armor, weapons, effectiveness and inexplicable abilities of the Lion's combat teams exceeded all others and was the primary factor that turned imminent defeat into unbelievable victory. This battle, especially the role of the Invictus, its crew, and it's Maliri allies, will require study and analysis before all the lessons to be learned have been revealed. Back to the studio...

Anonymous

You write well, Golden... When do you start your story?

Anonymous

If you mean my own original story, i do have something i am working on that i plan to eventually post to lit, but will take a long time to get ready. Provided that tefler doesn't mind, i would plug myself here. Maybe i'll do some fan stories in this universe too.

Anonymous

A fanfic based on 3SM would be awesome. I'm a recent pateron but read the story on SOL and decided to pay for the chapters as a way to show my appreciation to the author.

Anonymous

Ahem, if you want fanfic, then may I suggest looking for 'Rule 34', "One for you, nineteen for me' and "deadliest of plagues'? I thought they were pretty good, but I'm bias
