Script: Code Geass Japanophilia, Milly + Nina (Patreon)

Hey everyone, here's the script for the second chapter of Japanophilia! I wrote a prose version of chapter one a few months back, so check that out if you've not already.

I'm getting on with commissions this weekend, and will be writing this month's prose updates as soon as they're all done. 

In two weeks it'll be Herb's section of Mariko's New Team, this poll is for two weeks after that.

Page 1: 

Nina is sitting at a desk reading a book.

Narrator: My name is Nina Einstein, and I get nervous easily.

We shift to an over the shoulder view, where we see the shadowy form of Milly Ashford sneaking up behind Nina

Narrator: I prefer it when things are quiet. It lets me think. It lets me concentrate.

Milly hugs Nina from behind.

Milly: Found you!

Nina: Eep!

Narration: It's also a rare and precious thing, when you know Milly Ashford.

Milly's uncomfortably close to Nina, hugging the side of Nina's head into her bosom.

Milly: Sitting by yourself again Nina? Tut tut! Hiding from the world won't make it go away!

Nina: Hello Milly, how can I help you today!

Milly: Glad you asked! It's festival time, and I need help planning!

Page 2: 

Narration: Milly likes her big, grand events. It lets her have all sorts of fun.

Milly: We need to figure out how to use this classroom! Any ideas?

Nina: Ah? Oh... Well, I'm not any good at this sort of thing, really.

Narration: They're really not for me, though. Too many people. She'll even let Elevens onto the grounds!

Milly: Nonsense! Just say the first thing that comes to mind!

Nina: A science exhibit? Maybe we could get the Chemistry club to put something together?

Milly: Pass! Last time we tried that they blew a hole in the roof!

Narration: Elevens... here at Ashford. How frightening.

We view over MIlly's shoulder, and see Kallen is peeking through the door.

Milly: Let's make it something fun, but not too destructive this time? We don't have the budget for another repair.

Page 3: 

Kallen steps into the room. In her Ashford uniform for now, to move unnoticed.

Kallen: How about a maid cafe? Wouldn't that be fun?

Milly: Oh, Kallen! There's the spirit! A maid cafe is perfect!

Kallen: I'm sure Sayoko would be happy to share some tips.

Nina sighs, and resumes reading her book, while in the background Kallen lifts Milly's chin and forces eye contact with her. Her Geass activates!

Kallen: And I'm pretty sure you can think of a few things as well, right?

Milly: Uhhhh...

Page 4: 

Milly rubs at her head

Milly: Maid... cafe... Must become a pretty maid.

Nina's still reading, trying to ignore Milly's antics.

Narration: Oh dear. Milly's off on a dressup kick again.

Nina thinks of the weird things that Milly has made the club members dress up as. Namely, the cat outfits.

Nina: I've been lucky enough to avoid those so far.

Page 5: 

Milly: Ah, I know, just the trick! I'll become a maid through and through!

Narration: She's really getting into this one though.

Milly (offscreen): I'll become a sexy Japanese maid!

Nina: Huh? Japanese?

Kallen puts her hand on Nina's shoulder

Kallen: What's wrong with being a Japanese maid?

Nina looks up at Kallen. Kallen's shadow is cast over her, and where her left eye is, the Geass symbol shines.

Kallen: How about it Nina, can you think of anything wrong with that?

Nina: Eh?

Page 6: 

Shirley enters the room dressed as a geisha, carrying a hangar in each hand with a maid uniform on it.

Narration: Huh? What's happening? Something is strange.

Milly: Oh, Shirley! Love the new look!

Shirley (bowing and handing over the uniforms to Milly): Many thanks, honoured one.

Nina: Is that really Shirley? Why is she dressed like that?

Nina rubs the side of her head.

Nina: I feel giddy.... So dizzy all of a sudden....

Milly strips down, with Kallen and Shirley's help. Spread that out over a few panels.

Narration: Shirley looks so happy. 

Narration So graceful. 

Narration: So pretty.

Narration: So... Japanese.

Kallen: Don't worry Nina, it'll be your turn soon.

Page 8: 

Milly is now dressed up like a cute maid

Narration: I want to dress up like that.

Milly: Ah, this is so much better! Thank you, Mistress!

Kallen: I was leaning into 'Empress', myself.

Naration: I need to dress up like that.

Nina begins to take off her clothes. There's a bit of drool on the side of her mouth, and her general expression should demonstrate a burning urge to be a pretty maid.

Page 9: 

Interspersed throughout the page, shots of Nina putting on pieces of the maid uniform.

Narration: I shouldn't want this.

Milly bows to Kallen

Milly: How may I serve, your Majesty?

Narration: But I do! It's wrong, but - 

kallen: To begin with, aren't you engaged to Lloyd Asplund?

Milly: A family arrangement, your Majesty. Neither of us has the slightest romantic feelings towards each other.

Kallen: I'd like to meet him anyway. Tell him that a friend is interested in his work.

Narration: Yet I can't stop myself.

Shirley: Your Majesty, it seems that Miss Einstein is prepared.

Kallen: Is she now? How do you feel, Nina?

We see Nina in the maid uniform, grinning ear to ear.

Nina: I cannot wait, your Majesty! Nina Einstein will be your loyal servant from now on!
